I have had cox communications for over 11 years - not by choice but because we have no other decent options. Every time there's bad weather here (i.e.

Rain!!!! - not even a thunderstorm), our service is interrupted. We not only have no cable and Internet, but the phone is off as well! I don't understand it.

Then, when I call to report the problem, it's something they can't fix over the phone and they subsequently have to come to my house. An appointment is made and they give me a 2 hour window, but the technician is late and doesn't call to inform me that he's behind schedule!

I'm so frustrated with Cox and I wish there was some other company to give my business to. This happens way too often and I'm sick of it!!

There is something you can do. Call and ask to speak with retention.

The common mistake of long time customers is they are paying full rates. Ever look at the pricing of a new customer? Are you paying more than that? Well you can get it.

Call retention and threaten to cancel.

They can give you rates up to 30% less and sometimes better than new customer rates but you have to argue with them like a car salesman. The reps are trained to offer you little by little like a corrupt facial products salesman from another country.
