Sold me a plan with tv, phone and internet. I was advised the phone included unlimited local and LD only to find out I was being charged for each call. I called and spoke to an agent and a supervisor who was hard to understand (Tiffany/AZ.) She sounded like a recovering *** addict. I asked for a refund only to be told that too bad, that is what I signed up for. I advised that the agent who sold it advised it was unlimited. Cox Communications - Overdrawn Account Review from Houston, Texas

Cox is truly a rip off corporation I'm about to take my services elsewhere they debited my account twice for my monthly bill causing my bank account to be overdrawn. They acknowledge it was their fault but refuse to credit my bank account for the $250 instead they left the credit on my monthly Cox bill and thinks that's ok for them to do. I spoked with an attorney and I'm about to sue these *** and get rid of Cox for good!!! I'm having a similar problem. They took my payment out of my account twice, on separate dates, but for some reason they don't show any record that they did it!

Even though I've provided proof from my bank for the extra withdrawal, I'm getting nowhere with them. It's so frustrating.

I've called multiple times, faxed information, e-mailed, etc., and no gets back to me with any answers. I don't know where that extra payment ended up, but I KNOW it came out of my bank account!

Commercials from Cox Communications state, If our modem or routers is more then 4 or 5 years old it's time to upgrade" & "Cox has the latest technology". Why is it than that Cox equipment whether is is a modem, router, gateway or one of their cable/dvr/hdtv boxes are they all 4-5 years old and they have nothing newer? I am told my Cisco HDTV/DVR Explorer 8643HDC and Cisco DPQ3925 eMTA Gateway were manufactured in 2009 and 2010. I am also tech bye the over the phone technical support, customer service and actual technicians that come out to my house that they have nothing newer. Just Google search your own Cox equipment and you will find out how old it is. I was forced into getting cox when we moved into our apartment if we want Internet now that we found out how much of a bunch of scam artists this company is we wanted to change service. We are being charged 200$ to cancel service that started at 59.99 and kept going up...

They have steadily increased prices and are now up to charging me $74 a month for Internet ONLY. That is twice the amount of my monthly water bill and nearly equivalent to my monthly electricity bill.

They only recently allowed CenturyLink into my neighborhood, but CenturyLink only offers a very limited and slow connection service.

So although people now 'technically' have a choice, it is still a monopoly for Cox as far as the consumers are concerned - and they know this. I would love to see a revolt against these big cable companies.

Horrible Customer Service | Cox Communications review

We have been trying to transfer service. 5 days now. Today was last straw. I work from home and was here all day. I called at 5 pm after holding for 35 minutes rep said tech was here. No way. What a joke. This is what happens when you have a monopoly. They don't care and you get screwed. Shut off the service went and got a power antenna and have net flix. Picture great. Your politicians that you elect in AZ let them do this. Vote out all the ones in office and elect people under 40 years of age. Horrible Customer Service | Cox Communications review

We have been dealing with Cox for over 6 weeks now trying to get our service updated and adding countour. We have yet to complete everything and they have been sending out technicians, but the orders are never correct and then the technician won't complete the work. It has been a complete nightmare - spoke to a "supervisor" yesterday who was extremely rude said he had taken care of everything and yet again the technician showed up and nope couldn't do it. We have probably had 10 - 12 different tech's out and each time they don't have the right equipment or aren't prepared for the job. We tried ATT Uverse but unfortunately don't have enough signal strength in our area. We are about ready to go with Direct TV.

The internet doesn't work I've called them so many times and been angry for a long time then they maybe fix it for a couple days then it's back to not working and every time it takes HOURS to fix and the service people always show up late or not at all last time I called them they just hung up on me after I had been on the line for four hours and the fees that come with everything and when the internet is working it is incredibly slow I think it's ironic how they only call it cox high speed internet on their automated service
