Cox Communications - Change channels without any notice
Was watching a television show last night, as part of the package I paid. In the middle of the show, got a message " call to subscribe." I called Cox to ask what was going on because I had already paid for the channel as part of the package. The response from Cox " the particular channel was now part of their premium package and in order to get that channel, I need to upgrade my service for an addition $44.00. I was shocked. How can Cox change cut off a channel (A.K.A. change the package) without any notice. Unbelievable!!!!!!!!
Cox Communications in Hartford, Connecticut - Exorbitant Price Increases out of sync with Quality of Product
My cable, phone and internet bill spiked from approximately 190.00 to over 250.00 per month. The company offered a small discount that only brought my bill down to $220.00. There are several features I am paying for that I don't want. However, the company will not let me unsubscribe only from those features. The cost for their product is outrageous and is not worth it. I would drop them like a hot potato but there are no competitors in my area. I filed a complaint with the BBB but they were unable to prompt the company to take further action. I urge all consumers to avoid doing business with this company if possible.

Took service over after husbands passing for my grand children in CA. I am in another state. Have called me constantly with account past due not paid on time. I have a due date of the 21. They would tell me it has always been the 12th. I can go back from day 1 and it's the 21. Called to tell me one time that my bill was being paid through BOA. Never had an account with BOA. Now turned this into an account assumption" where grandson would take over account and I could get out of this nightmare. You guessed it. After dealing with every kind of unqualified rep. I have paid through July and they have billed my grandson for a new service. I was told that it was just a takeover on his part. It was supposed to be effective by May 15. Someone at COX cancelled that and I had to do it all over again. HUH???? Now they are saying he owes $70 by the 7th of July. What a bunch of ***. I was told it would be a $32.99 charge only from May 15. This is the worst company in the world next to AT&T.
Cox Communications in Scottsdale, Arizona - Incorrect billing, incorrect level of service, when I complain agents hang up the phone
I just moved to AZ from MA. In MA there are several cable companies that compete for your busines so the service levels are exceptional When I moved out here, I called COX. THey passed me around to several sales reps, got the order incorrect 3 different times, didn't show up on the right date, came in with the incorrect equipment. I was told that my package included free installation, yet before I even got my television going, I had a paper biill in the mail, charging for installation, and was $40 more a month than their promised special. THis is illegal bait and switch. Try to call their customer service to complain, on hold for ridiculously long periods of time, chat doesn't work, no one seems to know anything there. This company needs to be broken up and de-monoplized so that competition other than satellite can push better service levels in the community

FED-UP WITH COX CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!!!!!! Ported 6 lines from Century Link on Monday- 3 days ago STILL DON'T HAVE THE LINES RIGHT! RIDICULOUS HOLD TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One service call addresses the problem only to find out they created a new problem!! YIKES !!!! The tech disconnected my FAX line when he was here yesterday to clear static from line 3..YIKES!! The reason we went with COX is because they can mask all 6 business numbers to caller ID the main line.. yep... that what they promised, NOT WHAT THEY'VE DELIVERED! Last time I dealt with Cox was 1995 when I vowed NEVER AGAIN.. I got sales-talked into a new and improved customer service. BS!!!!! RUN!!
Cox Communications in Phoenix, Arizona - "Hi speed" internet access has slowed rapidly. Cox wants to charge a premium to return it to normal.
I am presently disputing a claim for a missing TV receiver that we received from Cox after we converted to DirectTV. We elected to keep our "high Speed" internet access, which costs us in excess of $60/month. Last week, we received a notification that we had exceeded our data usage for the month. contractually, we have had Cox "High Speed" internet access for 20 years. We were never advised that 1)There was a data maximum, 2)There were different levels of service (like Sears' famous: Good, better, best), 3) and that there was a premium for each level. I'm not sure what Cox is doing is legally correct (I know it's not morally correct). I've reported them to the Better Business Bureau (They are a member), as well as the Attorney General for the state of Virginia. Verizon supposedly is partnering with DirectTV for internet service, and we will leave Cox completely when that occurs. Cox is NOT Your friend in a digital age!

I recently cancel my service with Cox mid June. I already paid the advanced bill from june 6 to july 6. Why in the he** i get a bill for $121. When my service is off. Cox is definitely a ripoff and charge customer ridiculously high rates for nothing. I will never ever get Cox again. Anyone with Cox really need to seek other cable or satellite companies. Becsuse they have poor customer, poor management and poor ratings. I hope they go down. Whoever owes this company should be...............enough said! And i hate those *** commercial Not funny at all.
they have no competent service no US service no ONSITE fraud department is all base offshore by rude and harassing people endless waiting on phone fraudulent charges I will seek consumer protection assistance on this matter they have NOTHING IN THE USA - people, WAKE...
