Cox Communications in Phoenix, Arizona - Ripping you off with no apologizes.

I have to say that Cox is one of the worse cable companies EVER. Their people are rude and treat you like you are out to swindle them. There are so many hidden fees that it is a joke. Not only is their professionalism a joke but their service SUCKS. We set up internet with them because century link didn't have enough power. Figured we get the best internet since we use it for gaming and online stuff. NOT once has it worked. THey provided us with a wireless tower and we are having to RESET it daily. Once we lost tv for three days..So when you call and ask them to fix the issue..sure but you're going to pay for it??? WHAT!!! there is a service coverage on the *** bill to begin with. The first bill was 380 dollars and get this...we got charged an 84.00 fee because we started our service in the middle of the billing cycle!! Not once did anyone say there was gonna be a fee for that. Trying to talk to anyone was a joke...transfer after transfer. If you're looking for service in AZ..I recommend going with someone else for service. Cox is not the way to go, unless you like things that don't work and rude service people who flat out lie to you. As soon as we find better internet service...we're gone. Share this with your friends.

Cox Communications in Gilbert, Arizona - Hidden Charges

Cancelled my phone service from Cox, as we never used it and we needed to save money. The girl on the phone was real nice and then said if I paid 24 dollars, my bill would not change for a year. Seeing as how cox has a new price every month I agreed. The bill would be 126 and some change. Bill today (3 weeks later)$210.47. Equipment Charges/Credits= $76 , I'm still trying to figure that out. I've had them for over a year. Then the other money Im still trying to figure out where they snuck that in. Then the $1 (optional) to charitable donations. Didn't sign up for that either. I'm sick of this company doing this.

Cox Communications in San Diego, California - Billing Unsatisfaction

Account is under my wife's name and I am the card holder who pays the bill. There is a mistake in my bill and I call to take care of it as I am the person who pays the bill. I guess this company can take my money gladly but if I have a question on my bill I cant ask the question but hey "give us your money" complete B.S. will be submitting a complaint with the BBB. I guess they can take your money but if there is a mistake on their end it has to be the person on the statement well because others have called to shut off service to others. Bull!

I apologize for any inconvenience this issue has caused. FCC regulations however require that we only discuss details of the account with the account holder or an individual they authorize on the account. If you're regularly paying the balance on the account I would ask the account holder to have you added to the account as an authorized user to discuss any issues that may come up.

Cox Communications in Washington, District Of Columbia - Poor Customer Service

In December 2012, Cox set up internet service in our shopping center. I immediately inquired to set up service and Cox offered a monthly service for $99. I signed a 2 year contract and no more than 2 months later, Cox sent out a promotion to the businesses in the center for the same service at $60. I politely asked if they could switch me to the promotional rate, and after 3 weeks of asking, they answered they couldn't change the contract because I had already signed and agreed to the initial rate. Nice customer service. Plan to share my internet with all my neighbors in the center.

You obviously work for Cox..... thats the exact answer they gave me.

I find it hard to believe that the sales manager at the time had no clue the rate he offered me was going to be the best rate available particularly since this was a completely brand new service area.

When a large company such as Cox CHOOSES not to service a reasonable request to a new customer only 2 months into a contract, what do you call it? I understand if I had called 6 months into my contract and 3 months after the promotion was given....but I called as soon as I received the promotional offer.

Cox Communications in Glastonbury, Connecticut - Rebate only after 13 months, contract for 12

It appears that last year I got a Cox bundle for TV, Internet, Phone that was up 3/9/13. I have a plan that gives me a $150 credit after service for the year. I received an anniversary letter to call to renew. After several calls, the scoop is that the credit comes after the 13 month, even though the bundles expires after the last month. My bill goes up $50 after 3/9 and I can't renew it until 4/9. So I effectively get only a $100 rebate, and I eat the other $50 in increased fees. This is deceptive advertising that was never made clear to me. In fact 2 Cox agents told me to renew on 3/11 (since 3/9 is a Saturday) to keep a bundled rate. However, any changes prior to 4/9 will cause me to lose the $150 credit. Does this seem fair to you? Any ideas how to escalate this? I spoke with the senior manager of the facility and she was of no help.

Cox Communications in Phoenix, Arizona - Taken advantage of

Spoke to a cox represenative to get the cost to transfer my internet services to my new address and was told they would transfer the services for free including the install. Confirmed w/the installer upon arrival to my new address that the installation he was about to perform was free and found a charge for 49.99 on my statement. Called to speak to a billing specialist and was told there was no record of this conversation between me and the cox represenative and they had to pay the tech so they would only waive half the charge. requested to speak to a supervisor and was told one would contact me within 3 to 5 days. called back 5 days later to speak to another billing specialist and was put on hold for 5 minutes awaiting to speak to a supervisor after explaning my situation once again only to be disconnected. called back to speak to another cox communication billing specialist to once again be put on hold for 10 minutes now and still holding.

This is untrue. Every Dish Network customer gets one free mover.

And let me tell you, there is quite a bit of work involved in a satellite install. Much more so than a cable install. I am not sure about ATT. At any rate, he was told by two different people that it would be free.

And Cox techs rarely do anything but screw a *** cable into the tap and make sure it's connected at the house. I've never seen one of them on a job for more than 20 or 30 minutes, unless the house had never been cabled, which really is rare.

Cox Communications in Norman, Oklahoma - Erroneous billing by Cox Free Phone Not Free

I had a ridiculously horrible experience with Cox. I have been with cox for almost 5 years consistently before that I had gotten rid of cable for a year and but was with them for an additional 4 years. 6 months ago I moved my bill was about $65-70 with HD CABLE and $91-$95 with internet. I moved and transferred the service to my new place. I wanted to get the activation fee waived since I was with them so long, but no avail. Then the cox person called me saying that they will waive the installation fee if I get digital phone and that the service and the equipment will be free as long as I cancel within 6 months. I had several issues getting the modem to work due to some cox coding issue that even the technician couldn't figure out, so they had to come out twice. I was billed for both occurrences even though it was their fault and I had accepted their offer of the free digital phone and service. Strike 1. Subsequently I was billed in the order of over $300, I called cox and the agent said they fix the issue and my bill should not be more than $91. The billing still persisted the other month, they threatened to disconnect service if over $200+ was not paid in full and the agents had a habit of saying they would/could not pull up an account until a payment was made. One said just make the payment and it will be refunded/adjusted. Next month same problem with an even higher bill when I just dropped over $200 in one month and be reminded that my monthly bill is only supposed to be $95 another Cox agent said they made the notes and corrected the problem and my bill will be fine in November, all I have to do is pay the $95 onwards. I went ahead and made several called to cut the digital phone as this might be the problem. Low and behold December's bill is over $300 again and they tried to charge a disconnect fee when they cut off both the internet and phone when that was their error. I refused to pay that amount and paid an extra $130 plus to keep the account current. They went ahead and charged and billed for $300+ again and still billing like the phone was there. Tried to talk to manager because anyone who makes the slightest effort to look at the account can see all the notes. The agents say they made adjustments but none of them stick. A manager claimed that he is going to send my account to collections. I have close to an 800 credit score I don't do late payments and the works. So I immediately ask to be sent to the disconnect person and I'll pay whatever because I am done, I will also be contacting the attorney general's office because all of that is false advertising and fraud. I was switched from person to person for the better of 2hours finally a guy goes through the account month by month since July and said I overpaid in several months and by his account their is a zero balance after I pay about $33 that could not be waived. He said the bill should be all cleared up and I should only owe $95, he urged not to contact the attorney general just yet and if said if it persists after this I can go ahead and disconnect. A week passes account still shows over $300+ . Agents are either pretending to fix and misleading customers or there is a software glitch either way I'm done and will most likely seek legal remedy. It seems as if this is the only way people pay attention these days. I've spent several hours on the phone trying to fix ***, that is precious time wasted that could be spent elsewhere than on the phone with Cox representatives. It's a scam and I know quite a few individuals with similar complaints. Cox is one of the worst out there, never again..

Cox Communications in Las Vegas, Nevada - Still No Gift Card

Kudos to Cox for screwing me out of my gift card and planting a virus on my computer. Wow, that's really top notch customer service. How many more times do I have to repeat myself. One hundred words are not enough words to sum up what I think about what has been done to me. I'm going to cancel my service at the end of the six month contract and subscribe with another service provider. I'm really, extremely and seriously pissed off at what has been done to me. You lied to me for FIVE MONTHS! What is wrong withthis scenario?

I sincerely apologize for the frustration you have been through with the gift card process. As we have previously communicated, the first rebate request was received without the proper documentation. The second submission was properly received and we have a RUSH order in place to process and mail the gift card to you.

While I've dealt with virus issues on my own PC and don't wish them on anyone, there is no way the Web-Rebate website was the source of your infection. The link you were provided in all correspondence is the same link used in all current and past rebate programs; it is used by many other companies and is regularly tested for malware. We utilize the same link to verify rebate status prior to every customer interaction.

We sent a status update to you through email this morning.

Sincerely,

Becky K.

Cox Communications in Choudrant, Louisiana - No phone for elderly/No solutions provided

COX was contacted in a timely fashion and an easy appointment was made to transfer a phone line/number from assisted living back to a residence. COX was informed that this was for an 89 year old. The phone was cut off two days early causing undue stress and left the individual unsafe in her apartment. On the correct date technicians arrived on time but after four hours couldn't complete the transfer. Supervisor said it would be completed by 5 that day and that we would be notified. No call. No service still. The woman is alone now while I'm at the hospital with her husband. COX reps say a supervisor will call. 24 hours and still no call. Keep your loved ones safe. Don't use COX.

Cox Communications in Roanoke, Virginia - ADDING A NEW SHOW

This is not a complaint whatsoever but merely, a suggestion for a new program; The Blaze. I have access to The Blaze on satellite radio and just admire the in-your-face comments about our corrupt government. There are eight left-wing news organizations to the one right-wing, FOX and now Al Jazeera is coming on board, and I HAVE TO PAY FOR ALL OF THIS! How about giving people, like me, another choice and adding The Blaze to the cable news lineup. You see, I like getting the TRUTH and the REAL information that the main stream media is hiding from the general public. I also cannot stand the partisan left wing view points of the main stream media and sloppy love affair with our president. So, please, consider my request for a more conservative an honest program in this insane liberal environment in which we seem to have evolved into. Thank you.
