Cox Communications in Chesapeake, Virginia - Equipment charges for equipment i don't have

We moved took equipment with us to a rental house moved into our new home 2 years ago and had service installed, left recently to another provider got a bill for over $1100 for equipment, turned in all the equipment i had, sent me a bill for $478 saying i still have cable box. I said why would you let me keep this for 2 years if so important, she said i had been paying for it, great so getting screwed for equipment and obviously been paying for equipment not in my house!!!! i am so pissed at them, that is complete bull ***, i have no equipment, and honestly what good is that equipment, i don't have? i feel screwed over by them. i was a customer for over 23 years, thanks Cox Communications!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was not real happy with Verizon Fios and honestly thought about going back, NEVER!!!! THEY *** with their so called equipment.

Cox Communications in Phoenix, Arizona - Music Choice never acted on last complaint.

This is the second time I complained about the music being garbled. The last time I wrote you regarding this a person called me back and what was to be done to fix it has not hoppen. Being a disable vet. I spend most of my day listing to "easy listing" and its now every day,some time twice a day it gets garbled from fifteen to twenty seconds. Alvin Avery 899 2015 480 haning to make this a hundred words Iguess Ill have to talk about something Iknow nothing about . I do not agree with this one hundred words.

Cox Communications in Alexandria, Virginia - Cox Internet Service is terrible, and their customer service is worse!

TL;DR: Cox = terrible internet service, very poor customer service, and overpriced products. I'm a Cox Premier Plus customer, which basically means I pay extra for service, which includes a "preferred" phone number for customer support and a promise of top notch service. I'm paying a heck of a lot more than I used to in my previous home for Verizon FiOS, for Internet speeds that are actually slower than FiOS! If that were all I had to complain about, it'd be one thing, but Cox Internet service is simply terrible. I drop about in in every 25 packets or so, which to a non-technical person basically means that streaming music is next to impossible, and loading web pages can take unpredictably long. My ping times can be as high as 1200 ms, which makes "High Speed Internet" a total joke. So, I called up Cox, and they booked a technician to come out the next day. Good enough, right? Well the next morning comes, and I get a call from Cox saying that they've overbooked, so can they come the next day instead?! I've got two young kids at home and friends over, and I can't stream music nor stream Netflix because of this *** poor internet, and Cox just does a bait and switch on me?! I called Cox Customer Service again, and was dutifully put on a long 45 minute hold. Thereafter, i finally get sent to Tier 2 Support, where the gentleman I spoke to simply proceeded to tell me that he had to book a technician to come out tomorrow! No apologies, no attempt to resolve the issue, just a promise to send somebody tomorrow. Oh goodie, so now I get to spend more of Christmas vacation without being able to stream music or Netflix or browse the internet, but that's ok, because the Cox technician is *sure* to come tomorrow, right?!?. Fantastic. Verizon, all you need to do is give me a date when FiOS will be available, and you've got a customer ready and willing!

Cox Communications in Las Vegas, Nevada - Cox Cable Repart Card

October 4th we left direct TV and came back to cox. The other was to good to pass up. We were to get several discounts as well as a $200 visa card . I immedaitely sent in all the correct paperwork. Weeks later I called for the status. They said we did not qualify. I went over all the details with them and I absolutely qualified. The person I spoke with said she would reinstate the request. Weeks go by again so I called to verify. Yes the card is in process and you will be getting it very soon. Weeks have not gone by and we have yet to see anything. I am so sick of the BS of companies bigger and stonger taking advantage of the average family. Cox Cable YOU SUCK!!!! Las Vegas consumer

Cox Communications in Virginia Beach, Virginia - Charged me for equipment outside my home I don't have access to.

I've been "bundled" and the t.v. only had some channels that worked while others didn't. Problems with pixels on the screen and no audio. Then the phone and internet stopped working completely. If there was some emergency and I needed the phone, something terrible could have happened. Not everybody has a cell phone within reach, if at all. First off they offered and agreed tot the appointment time. Then they showed up about 6-1/2 hours late. I work from home and could not work, use the landline, or use the t.v. Inconveniently the few channels I enjoy were out. They said that they could swap out the box I had...for an additional monthly fee because he said what I was using wasn't compatible. The issues still persisted and then the guy told me that the "splitter" needed to be replaced. He did the replacement and I received my bill to find a $69.99 fee for a service call! I wasn't told about this, just charged it and I was charged for them making a repair to their equipment. Equipment I don't even have access to and did not break. Further, they came out and sold me on a monthly rental for replacement of a box that apparently was doing the job. What shysters!

Apparently I was not clear enough for two people, likely Cox employees, that anonymously voted BS. I was told by the repairman that there was a problem with a splitter/something that is located (jargon I don't understand) outside in their equipment box. I have no business going near or touching their locked equipment and have never done so.

I only had their services a few months. Their faulty equipment is located in this locked outdoor box that I never had access to, they showed up over six hours late and I was charged a $69.99 service fee for them coming out to fix their faulty equipment. On top of this the repairman blamed the pixels/squares on the screen on the fact that I was using a Verizon modem and router.

That is the point at which he sold me on renting an all in one Cox router/modem box to provide the phone, cable, and internet services. I did so but am STILL seeing pixels/squares on the screen and losing audio on various channels. I am paying for services that are not working properly. And the first time when everything went out the cox repair person came late. The service went out on a Saturday and they refused to come out until Monday. I could not work from home Saturday or for half the day on Monday.I lost more than the $69.99 and when you add in the cost of the monthly rental that did NOT change the pixels and audio loss, this is why I rate the monetary loss at $154.

Cox Communications WORST Customer Service

I called for service cancellation and was told I need not return the equipment. Once I cancelled service and moved out of state, I was told to return the equipment. One of the worst wait times for customer service calls. Requested the customer service supervisor (Steve) to review the call regarding the account closing. Was promised to be called back, but never heard back. Finally decided to ship the equipment to the address I was given to save my time. A month and a half after shipping, they told me they haven't received the equipment and I still owe them money.

Cox Communications in New Orleans, Louisiana - Cox didn't bill me

Cox didn't send me a bill in November. I called the company and asked "Hey is my account past due? I don't recall getting a bill in November" Now I am facing a 400.00 cable bill due 2 days after Christmas I am so upset how many companies have customers that even call and remind them hey did you bill me? Cox is horrible and they have done this to us before. Can anyone recommend anything to help? I will be calling them later today and attempting to reason with these cretins this is a hard financial hit and happening at a bad time

Hello,

The first billing statement is mailed 24 hours after the account is installed and due 25 days later. Please understand things do happen and sometimes mail is lost however a physical bill is always mailed by us immediately after install.

Unfortunately, now that the second bill has generated both the first month and the second month will be due together.

I understand this is an inconvenient time to have to pay these amounts as the holidays are hard on all of us however if no payment is received for the previouos month it is due immediately as with any other carrier.

i have had cox out to my home more times than I have digits on my hands and feet in the last 10 years. i still have horrible internet service that is sporatic and drops out many, many times during the day and daily. AND, I pay over $50 a month for this nonsense!! Regrettable they are the only highspeed service in my Chandler Neighborhood off Frye and 132nd Street. after 10 years of this nonsense I gave up on calling them, because they just do not care. one guy even accused me of crawling int the additct and steeling an amplifier or something like that. i have had others tell me they need to install a box closer to my house, that I am too far from the box. but no one has ever done that. cox is so horriple, I keep praying that they will get some competition real soon!!! People will flee them just like they fled Qwest. on rop of all that, they raise your rates more than you eat meals....but still, the same horrible service. Someone...HELP!!!

Cox Communications in Houma, Louisiana - Cox cable customer service

I moved to Louisiana and called Cox to get internet service. Everyone I spoke with was from India. That aside, I inquired about cable & internet only and was repeatedly told I had to bundle with home phone service after I explained I had no use for that. I finally decided to call back during normal business hours to hopefully get someone local. Didn't happen. So then I asked for an address so I could just go by the office here and get services. The man was very rude and said he was going to report me for prank calling and I told him to do what he needed to do. Later the first person I spoke to called me and asked if I had made my mind up to get the bundle package and I told her I had decided due to poor customer service that I would go with at&t instead. She continued to try and get me to say yes to anything she could. I told her no several more times and she then told me I could go to ***. Good luck Cox. You will continue to lose customers with your outsourcing and very pushy & rude customer service! Happy with my u-verse!
