Cox is not going to have a collector involved in a bill that is a day late. You might not even get a late fee at that early stage.

Collectors are assigned when your bill is approaching 30 to 60 days late, and calls are automatically programmed prior to this and a letter is sent.

You would also get bills showing you your deadlines. Does Cox have your latest phone number?

COX Communications - Failure To Deliver

On 12/14 I upgraded my service to digital, it was to be a Christmas present. I was told it was to be delivered on the 18th. On the 20th I called to remind Cox that I had not received the box. I was treated rudely so I talked to a supervisor who told me it would be shipped and she would call me with the UPS tracking number. Called again on the 22nd and told the same thing. No one called so I called again on the 26th. This time was told it had not been shipped. On the 28th, I received the remote but still no box. I would have picked it up, if I had known it would be this much trouble.

Cox Communications in San Pedro, California - Horrible cox whole home DVR

I just changed my cable boxes from dvr to whole home dvr from cox, and the system is not worth the money. My worst complaint is recording sports. When you open the guide and look for football, none of the information is programed. The guide does not list the teams playing, just the location. I have missed so many games because you can't determine who is playing. Don't upgrade to whole home dvr, the regular dvr box allows you to search by theme (football), and you can see all the games and record easily. Also the cox customer service is no help.

I had whole home installed last week. I would give it a rating of *** Don't get it.There are many features that have disappeared.

Record only new is gone, it no longer backs up slightly when you stop fast forward, recorded programs stop 2 minutes early, so you miss the end of every show, you can no longer delete a show you are watching, it takes several key strokes to delete, I cannot record in the future, I get a 'technical error, try again later' message. Have tried repeatedly, same message. The system is much more labor intensive, ie. it takes alot more time to do what you could easily do before this upgrade.

The new menus are cluttered and difficult to read even on the largest font. What a pathetic product.

I signed up for cox 12/2012 and before they could install service the rep said I required a $250 dollar deposit which was fine because I had the money at that time. The rep then asked for me for my debit card, the expiration date and 3 digit security code on the back , I gave him that and he said it was charged and that now I can schedule a day for a technician to come out and install my boxes.

2 days later my cable was installed. I get my first bill and it's almost $400! Why? Because my card was never charged and when I called in to explain that, the rep was a *** to me she said "well of we didn't charge the card whose fault is it, yours right?" And I immediately got pissed and hung up in her face, I've called 3 other times after that and they insist that it's my fault that my card wasn't charged.

So they put it on my credit and now I'm suffering from it and they won't remove the mistake the made. They've also done this to a friend of mines. What kind of dumb *** people do they have working for this company?

I hate them ! Cox you suck ...

making a complaint should not be so time consuming. You already have my account information so dont ask me sor i again. You are truly the worst cable company in the system (and I have had Comcast). Your replies to complaints are nothing but endless rhetoric, and your staff cannot answer questions except to say we will get back to you. My on demand feature is not working, but the only answer I get is we are not responsible, it's an on demand problem. It IS your problem if you it as a feature (oh yes, your customer service is also negligible).

Marycatsom... the problem really is you! Don't you see that?!?! You failed to realize that the swamp gasses surrounding your house are creating a ionized disturbance that is KNOWN BY COX to cause harmonic distortions in the TV you have. This is why your PPV doesn't work!

Now, if you UPGRADE to the REALLY EXPENSIVE PACKAGE, after waiting on the line for 4 hours, and promise to wear fuzzy bunny slippers and do the hokey pokey for Cox, you MIGHT get your PPV working!

All kidding aside.... same issue here. No PPV, no guide, channelsmcoming and going, and jankety internet service. I took my money elsewhere and am thankful every day I did so. It's nice to have TV service that actually works now.

Unfortunately with Cox, you'll never get what you pay for no matter what you do. Even the hokey pokey!

Cox Communications is terrible!

Cox Communication stated that the reason our tv's went out was because of the storm when really they let an employee come over to our house unannounced. We were not notified about this visit, or the fact that they would be cutting the cable wires to the top floor of the house. Our house is a legal multi-family home that switched to one address and became a single family home legally. Cox was informed of this because they have documentation. THREE YEARS LATER they come and cut the cables because they say we need two seperate utilities! That would mean for a 4 bedroom house, I would have to be paying two seperate $120.00 cable bills!!! When I called them, they claimed they never knew, but I have proof they do because they sent me the email confirming that we did infact tell them! Luckily I went with my gut and saved the email and paper notification. I have a lawyer, and Cox will be sued because the technician in van 420 was the rudest man I have ever met. He insulted me as I showed him proof and claimed that I was wrong. I will be switching cable companies and taking this matter further.
