Cox communications sucks

It's been over 1 week and supposedly they have an outage even though people in my building that has Cox Communications still have internet. Out of all the internet service providers I have been with Cox Communication is the worst by far in comparison with the others

Cox Communications - Cox cable keeps going up!!

I have been with Cox cable for almost twelve years, it seems like every six months my bill goes up, so I have to call them up to get a short term promotion to lower the bill for three to six months. This is such a pain and a waste of my time. I will be paying almost three hundred dollars to watch a few channels, why don"t they let me just pay for the channels I want to watch. I want to get rid of them, if it was not for my husband who likes the sports and history channels. We will be looking for another cable company. I am so stressed out every time the rate goes up. We all need to fight this corruption. Big companies are getting greedier every day!!

Cox Communications - Worst service ever

Details
I have been with cox for over 20 yrs and never thought about cancelling my service unti now. I have tried for three weeks to transfer my service to a new address and get the same story every week when I call back. Guess what still no service, “let me add you in” and today the service represent hung up on me. Wow!! What a way to hand 20 year client.

I was going into your location on Midvale and Valencia to get some service. I get out of my car I'm walking up to the store and there's people outside blasting the rap music on their phones. Plus they have this charcoal going that has all the smoke and it's killing my asthma. I asked him about the box that they had on the table under a canopy they said they were just told to put it there I go is that to put on new service they told me no and very rudely to. So I walked inside and talked to a gentleman with a beard he was nice at first but then started getting very fussy and very irritated with me asking questions. So I just decided to leave your store and go get service elsewhere very disrespected and very disappointed in the service I was given.

We have the Bronze Package , locked in with the NHL game package is all, no movies , no adult chs , no other purchases . Our regular bill is $162.58 firm .we had major problems since the 1st installation back in May 2017 until this second , December 14 2017 . the point is we owe $645.26 past due / giving us immediate threats to pay or cable WILL be terminated disconnection without any further warning . my credit is shot i assume ..& waste of time on the phone every month .We are giving serious bad reviews to everyone in our community !!!

A day later I am still blown away by the insensitivity and ineptness of COX. Why do we put up with this? COX should be required to have listed prices for the purchase of their equipment when an item is charged as unreturned. It seems like the charge is entirely made up. I cannot find a modem that retails to close to 300 dollars, but it appears that is what COX charges for equipment that is many years old. Why does COX has such extensive problems with crediting returned equipment? Could it be that unreturned equipment charges are so lucrative that there is no incentive to have a system that accurately tracks returned equipment.

My mother passed away leaving my 95 year old father with dementia. We cleared out the apartment to move my father to another state. I returned the cable box and was informed that 3 boxes were missing and the charge would be 757 dollars. There is not 30 dollars of electronics in these cable boxes and these boxes are several years old. The charge is obscene and beyond ridiculous. I offered to settle for 100 and was refused. They refused to let me fill out their lost equipment report because I was not on the account. I called customer service and the lady in a nasty tone told me that they would go after the estate, which does not exists. Never would I deal with this company and actively discourage others from doing so.

Cox Communications - Contour

Details
Picture freeze and pixelation. Two service tech over 4 weeks, this morning, still freezing. I think it is an infrastructure issue. Contour requires a higher signal, with all the additional homes, Cox is slow to act. Without Contour, the system worked fine for 6 years, I say fine,but we usually had to do a refresh every 6 months, but at least didn’t need to be home for a service tech. 1st tech, spurious signal, second tech basic connection, after 6 years, was not correct. Why do I need to put in 100 words. Is this really a Cox site and you are trying to get me to give up.
