Another angry customer of Cox Communications

Have been with Cox for close to 20 years now and not out of choice. Finally decided to migrate one phone line over to cox for the small business that my husband has. This was done last Wednesday and some unprofessional nitwit working at Cox forget to read ajjust the modum so as a result the phone has been out of order since it was migrated. As a result, no one has been able to reach my husband as the phone stated the number was not in service. There goes his small business. Thank you very much Cox. I will be sending you my bills from here on in as you managed to put our lives into a tail spin. And I don't you frankly don't give a damn.

Misrepresented the facts on bill total with deal. $89.99 totalled $121.50. A 26% increase pver agreed amount. Was told that is how they sell it and no option. Totally lied about.

Details
I asked how much to upgrade the internet speed and I decided it was too costly, but the rep I talked to coerced me into the deal by telling me I get free showtime with that deal, so I opted in. I explained to him that I have directv and he said it would still work he would send me a splitter. Well, it didn't work and went round and round with cox again and we are maybe to where there is a solution. They are coming out tomorrow to see if they can help. I asked for them not to charge me since it was their error and was assured I would not be charged. Will update again.

Cox Communications review: Cox cable is a rip off.

They lie an tell you you bill will not go up the next month it went up. So have to call these rude bastards. For what to get no where. People do yourself a favor get. Get the FIRE STICK. JAIL BROKEN17.5 You will never go back to Cox. Order it through Amazon.

I have setup auto payment of and don't check my bill regularly. I noticed my bill has increased. The regular rate thy show on cox website is lower than my bill for the same service. When I called they made me a "favor" by reducing the bill - that is for next 12 months...

Wow, looks like I'm not the only person that this happened to. After signing up with them in September 2017, I've had to contact Cox multiple times about billing discrepancies for the last 2 months.

I'm supposed to pay XX.99 per month for the next 2 years. They magically added a $5 surcharge to my account as of this month. When I first talked to a rep, they told me it was due to taxes. I told her it's not listed under taxes.

Furthermore, it wasn't itemized as a "tax", instead it was under my TV service as a surcharge. I had to point that out to the rep. After further research on her side, she said it was a surcharge that they're allowed to implement to provide better service. Umm, don't think so lady.

I told her I'd be reporting Cox to the FCC. She welcomed it.

My bundle for Ultimate had expired, as I had for 2 years, so they wanted to increase my price by a huge amount (going from 115 to well over 190/month). So, I went to the website, and did the next few things, and this was the outcome: The website offered a bundle which the apartment complex couldn't honor. Had to call and confirm order, which the lady on the phone did, and took off phone service, so I could get the rest of the bundle. Then I had to go buy a $200 modem. Then I went to the Cox Store, who couldn't see that I setup service, or put a deposit. Then I picked up the boxes from Cox Store, went home and plugged them in Then I plugged in the cable modem I purchased (CM1000) Then I had to get it activated, which it wouldn't connect, sure and the helpdesk said that I couldn't get the service here. Then they said I couldn't activate due to the Cm1000 not being compatible, then they said that I'd have to have a professional install, instead of a self install, which the lady on the phone and store said I could do. Then I spoke to a manager, and he activated the account, but modem wouldn't activate. Then I returned the item via Amazon (still waiting on UPS to pick up) Then I went to the cox store and they tried to resolve the issue, but couldn't add the modem. Then they finally were able to add phone service, and give me the modem. Then I go home, and the modem won't activate, though they activated at the store. So I had to call support again, and they stated that there was a work order open to install. They resolved the work order, and 'activated' the modem, and said they would reboot it. That was the end of the call, and the guy was very rude. Then The modem came online, but couldn't activate due to a major unexpected outage in our area (note, the downstairs neighbor has cox, and no outage there, so whatever) Then the lady on the support phone (cuz I had to call yet again), said that the work order was completed, but the service not activated on the account, so she activated it, but couldn't get the service to work because of the outage. Then around 2am my service came online, and I was finally able to do about 8 hours of work in 3 hours, and have no *** sleep. This has been one HUGE screw up by Cox since upgrading my service, and I am MOST ASSUREDLY NOT HAPPY AT ALL.

Cox Communications review: Cox Com. Va Bch

I've written 2 more complaints just now and it says they can't detect my location, of course not. I don't have cable. Cox stop harassing me, I'm doing great with rabbit ears. Check your computer and you will see that I sent the Cox box back. And check and see that there was never any activity going on. Why, there wasn't any,is because I don't have cable.

Cox Communications review: VERY UNHAPPY

Wow, I just sent another unhappy message again. Cox really needs to stop harassing me about a freaking bill. I do not have Cox Cable, rabbit ears are so much better. Look on computer and you will see that I sent the box back in March / April time. I never had anyone come out and hook up anything, because I don't have cable. I'm very angry with Cox trying to get money out if me and for what , nothing. Stop harassing me. Thank you, Ms. Burchett
