Cox Communications review: On demand never works

I have had cox for two years and have had non stop problems with the service. I have had over 6 boxes. I have upgraded, traded out, rebooted, had people come to my house, I’ve called I’ve moved and had the same problems in the new place. I guess it’s finally time for me to get rid of cable all together and just do the streaming thing which I watch most shows on anyway. Just bummed that cox is still so bad. I lived in AZ 9 years ago too and it was equally bad then. I loved I’m Denver for several years and had xfinity/Comcast it was expensive too and customer service was *** but it had far superior cable and internet service.

Cox Communications review: Not happy w/cox.

In the past month I have repeatedly called cox. I have got a couple nice reps, but for the most part their customer service reps are not trained properly. I have been given wrong or not much info. It took them weeks to figure out their line is bad at my house. But they couldn't tell me that before I spent over $50 on a new modem they told me to purchase. Nor did they tell me current customers had a free upgrade to the new modem. I discovered that online after and they would not refund any amount to me when I asked. They also have unprofessional representatives working for them. One in particular argued with me online and did not get the supervisor I asked for 5 times! It's such a hassle to switch providers I kept them. But I am VERY disappointed in the service they offer.

Cox Communications review: Separate viewing packages needed

Being a senior citizen, I have no interest in a majority of channels available for viewing, but yet we all are being charged for what we do not watch. Why not separate the channels according to what they represent. Example: Sports package, Comedy package, Action, Science, Faith and Values, etc. That would allow subscribers to choose the package they preferred and would not be forced to pay for what they do not watch and would be a form of cost control for seniors and others.

Cox Communications review in Escondido, California: BUYER BEWARE - COX makes it almost impossible to cancel services!

I am moving out of state and need to cancel my services. They have a hefty online portal where you can move/order/upgrade services, but conveniently there is no option to cancel online, so I searched in the help text and found a whole page about cancelling services. I called the indicated number and hit the option for cancelling services, and after being questioned by a service agent for 5 minutes, I get transferred to a number that is "BUSY"!!! Now I call another number and I've been on hold for 14 minutes....SHADY BUSINESS to the 10th degree. I'll be looking to see if there is a class action lawsuit against this type of practice so that I can join in on the complaint.

Cox Communications - Security System Review

I want everyone to know how big a rip-off Cox Communications and Cox Home Life is. I was up-sold that Home Life would be free and it's not - $50.month. Not bad if it worked. But it's the cheapest alarm system I have ever seen. Half the time it doesn't arm when I leave. My house was burglarized and I lost $20,000 worth of items and they pepper-sprayed my dog. A good customer service oriented company would let me out of the Home Life contract if I agreed to keep their internet and cable. Fat chance. They want to charge me $350 to get rid of this horrible system. So I get robbed, I'm forced to buy an alarm system that works, and now I have to pay $350 to get rid of a faulty product. Or just scrap it all and go to ATT/Direct TV. I'll call them and see if they want my business. Cox sure doesn't. #Ihatecox #coxsucks #coxhomelifesucks #coxripoff

2017 cancelled Cox internet & phone services

I totally don't recommended to use any Cox Services

I had Monotronics for a security system paying 60.00 a month I had COX for internet, cable and a Phone line that i never used as a bundle!!!! trying to save money i called COX and told them i didnt need a phone line so instead of anphone line to swich me to a security system, they sent a rep to my house for a consultation and he told me i was gonna be paying 154.00 for Internet Cable and Cox home life, i tought i was a good deal and fell for it he sold me extra equipment that i agreed to pay in 3 monthly installments, they come and install the equipment, after install they told me i could only review 10 minutes of the security camera when the sales man told me it was 10 days review and it was included in the package rep said no that is extra 14.00 a month to make anlong story short my first bill came to 622.00 and the following 3 would be around 325.00 THESE GUYS WILL RIP YOU OFF BAD i call them to cancel my service they said it was over 30 days all readdy REALLY!!!!!!THE FIRST BILL DIDNT COME IN UNTIL 4 weeks after i had the service how could i cancel before

Cox Communications review: Cox should be ashamed

Cox charges way too much to offer *** poor service. There should be no reason why any customer should have to wait 5 hours to have services restored becuase of an "update." Cox, you knew that you were having this "update" so why didn't you inform your customers? What are you updating? Your prices? I see why people are now restorting to other forms of entertainment. Your company is ridiculous. I will be sure to tell my friends and family to take their business elsewhere.

After many years of using the overpriced service. I cancelled when I sold my home and did my best to settle my bill. I thought I did so several months ago; I had a problem with a returned check from the move.. and was told it was cleared up after submitting a dispute; I asked for email verification- lady said it was ok and she couldn't do that anyways... Turns out it was not clear. Again. Now the automated system says I owe $100 that the agent who seemingly purposely wasted 30min of my time on phone did not resolve. He lied about my previous phone calls with agents saying I agreed to pay the $25 returned check fee. That was from a phone call I received saying everything was settled two months later. Now they cannot say what automated system think I owe 100 for and that scares me. Neither will they submit my complaint or have the "back office" contact me. They will waste your time with this back and forth. Many lies and no resolution when you are trying to do the right thing.
