Cox Communications review in Phoenix, Arizona: TV went on and off

Our TV would be on for a while, and then would go off. A message came on, 'not supported'. This went on for over 6 days. Tried to reach Cox, and could not get through. They said, 'five minute wait', after 20 minutes, still no one answered. Finally, I reached Tech Support. One person told me that the problem was 'sun spots'. Another, support person told me to bring the box in, and exchange it. I asked to have a technician come to the house. They said he would be there between one and three. He never came. He was cancelled without my knowledge. Then, after all of the lies, I was told that they had had an 'outage' that was the cause of the problem. The TV was working for a time, and then the same thing happened again. Now, it seems to be working. The whole Telecom industry needs to be investigated by Congress. Customers are being given poor service, and being 'gouged' at the same time. Maybe, the answer is Netflix, or something along those lines. However, you need Wi-Fi, and who supplies that?

planned maintenance my ***.. give me some kind of heads up ***! letting me know 5 minutes after you shut my internet off is not ok... giving me 2 dollars for missimg 300 worth of work is not ok . losing internet for 6 hrs once every 2-3 weeks is not *** ok...

I called Cox and spoke to the Manager and introduced himself as Brian and I told him that I been waiting for a long time for the technician to come because me and my husband didn't go to work to make sure that the issue with or internet and phone connections will be resolve but I technician didn't show up and I Manager sounds extremely RUDE. I've been a Cox customer for more than 9yrs and I told the Manager that he is very very rude and he shouldn't be on that position. He said he can't send a technician PERIOD and when I asked him why ? He said he can't send a technician period.., all he say is period period . Super rude. I think being with Cox for this long period that I deserve a better response. And the technician reporting that he called my phone is a lie and very upset with the way Cox employee or the Manager treated me. That all I can say. Very rude and customer being upset need a more accommodating Managers and not a rude manager. Thank you.

Cox Communications review: Other services

We had been with Cox for 3 years and we paid our services to more than $227 a month. This time it appeared in my internet of $ 10.00 other services which was not broken down and partial month services of $ 8.00. Why would the constituents shoulder their monthly other services and partial month services when we are not asking their other services. What are these other services and partial services that were added without any explanation? I had been calling Cox and their phone is always saying, it is for maintenance. I am getting disappointed because if something is wrong with my computer, I hire someone who can assist me not the Cox communication who not diagnose what is going on. I do not need these other services and your partial month services.

On not just one, but multiple occasions Cox/Turner/etc./etc. has treated it lifesource long-term stable revenue lack for a better word steadyeddys like they are sheep to be sheared, don't matter what we want it's alabout what they want & this PSYCHOSIS isinherently contagious with all companies that reach critical mass and we the people become just a statistic. Dehumanizing us to spreedsheets and demographics # of inbound vs # of outbound get it. All companies go this route after they get to big for their britches.

I’ve been watching high school football on cox. Thank you for showing the sport at this level. But, please please, will you ask the announcer who says “ gettin it done” 50 to 60 times a game to please find a variety of other phrases to mix in.

Cox Communications review: Phone wait time, and billing

called every number cox has and was put on hold. the five minute wait time turned into 30 minutes. i previously called and had my bill reduced, got todays bill which was increased more than the original. so frustrated with cox, but i hear direct tv and century link are no better. hire more people instead of putting "valuable" customers on such a long hold. The web site is no better. Im frustrated, and aggravated. i have been with cox 20 years, but may switch now. its too bad we can't get other companies to the state of AZ to increase competition.

Had a similar interaction with Cox. Back in June 2017, noticed my bill increased and was advised the CSR to contact the 'loyalty' department to renew my $131 amount that I've been paying. Spoke to a rep in that department who then advised that Cox could "SAVE" me money...

COX communications keeps increasing the basic price for internet, now they added data caps and cheat customers even more for the usage above the CAP. At the same time the data plans don't allow to save the unused data for the following month. Their comparison of the Oreos to FCC is a joke, if I don't eat the Oreos one month I save them in my stash, I don't throw them away. I should be able to save the unused GB for the following months. COX Communication is worse than a mafia organized crime. {{REDACTED}}

Cox Communications review: Bad online experience

I would just like to warn alot of cox customers on what the online cox support team has been doing lately, they have messing up customers email logins on purpose, I have repeatedly complained to the cox online support team about the problems with the error of not being able to login to my email, and they just keep telling me all they can do is reset the email password and that never fixes anything, and I they have even created another user ID for me because the other User ID I have never works when trying to login to my cox email, and now the other one all of a sudden doesnt work either, so I think the Cox online team needs to be investigated for unlawful behavior, I just want to warn Cox Customers about this
