I dumped Cox and so glad I did! Got better service and pricing from another provider and will never go with Cox again.
Reported them to the state and federal government for potential investigations, fines, and sanctions. In my opinion, Cox should not be allowed to stay...
The best advice I can give is to file a formal complaint with the regulators in your area and attorney general, so they can do their jobs and hopefully take Cox down. Just look at all the complaints on this site and other public forums. The public wants Cox booted off the island and everywhere else. Let's do that with complaints to the FCC and others to get them out of here, there, and everywhere.
Plus, their ads are a joke and get turned off immediately. Do not believe anything they say for your own and family's good.
Do a Google search for Cox Communications and look at all the trouble they have been in and caught in the act. Makes you wonder what they've not been caught doing, yet.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with partial refund.
After many calls and their customer non-service rep's blaming every thing but Cox. I have canceled. They had three different tech service rep's out to my home. Their own tech's even said it was their line causing the problem.
I was told I need to upgrade to a new modem several times. After lord knows how many calls, turns out they couldn't reset my modem because their line was out. Just like their tech's and my self had claimed.
Hey Cox, when a customer and your tech's tell you there is a problem in your service line going to a location, believe them. It also might help to have your non-service advisors be located in the good ole Us of a and able to speak English.
User's recommendation: Avoid Cox. Consider cell providers over wired providers. The cell providers in my area provide the equipment for free.Wired providers do not without a rental charge and are subject to physical damage and decaying wires.

Im so fed up with this company that I cant stand it. From the beginning its been nothing but issues!
I set up my service in May, told them I just needed internet and didnt want to spend more than $100 a month. The rep told me that she found me a great deal she said there was a promotion that would not only get me internet but all these other great services and my bill would only be $60 a month. I said great, I was fine with it bc thats the price range I was hoping for.. well here comes June and my bill is $389.
I had a baby by C section the first week of June so I tried to use the online chat to communicate with them about my bill since I had a baby. They told me they would fix it and take off the services I didnt want and that my bill would be $111 and I wasnt too happy bc I was promised $60 but was ok with $111. Well I checked my account again and it was still $389 I paid $50 to keep it on and then tried calling, chatting and even went in person to try and figure this out. I called and they said they would remove the HBO (that I didnt authorize bc I already have my own HBO account) they told me they would remove another service and then when I checked the bill a few days later nothing changed.
Then Julys bill came, still charging me for HBO and the other service I requested them to remove and was told they would. I went in person to return the security camera they sent as part of that bulls*** promotion and the customer service rep there told me that the promo was right and I was owed $60 to my account and that my next bill should only be $68. Well I dont know where she was looking bc not only is the HBO still on the but so is the other service and the bill is $127 for July. I tried again to use the chat option and then was told that I cannot have any credits or adjustments to my account for the HBO and additional service bc I am emailed a statement each month and thats how I am notified about the services.
I about lost it! I have asked them several times to remove the services and they have failed to do so, now I am being forced to pay for the services that I didnt ask for nor did I even use!! This is the most sketchy company Ive dealt with and the only thing their employees are trained to do is lie and scheme people into things they didnt want or authorize then try to stick them with the bill and not ever help!!!
Im so over it and have never had this much trouble with an internet provider. Oh I also threatened to cancel my services on the chat once and that rep said if I stayed she would lower my bill with my current internet speed to $49.99 a month and when I brought that up on the phone once they said they arent authorized to do that so why offer it???

Their ads have a cartoon, but so do many others in my area so it's easy to confuse which company's ads these are. Cox also mentions T-Mobile in its ads so it is easy to think these are ads for T-Mobile.
That's what happens when a company talks to itself only, and thinks they do such a wonderful job. I suspect Cox is close to being out of business with such poor judgment for the ads, how they treat customers, and their extreme unintelligence that is laughable.
At times I thought I was dealing with junior high-school children when talking to their reps. When my concerns were escalated, at best these new reps had the intelligence of high school student with bad grades, with near-zero people skills.
Immature and dumb reps, even worse at the corporate level. Who are these clowns and liars masquerading as a telecom company? Avoid.
I turn off their ads immediately and think the company is moronic. Cox should not be in business - just look at all the complaints against it. What a disgrace!
