Horrible horrible customer service

I have not had dial tone and Cox has continued to charge me for my phone... when I called they said I had a couple of cancellations on my account.. I have never cancelled an appt with them.. Not only bad service but they also lie.. I have been a customer with them for 15 years.. this is how they treat their old customers.. shame on them.. I am disconnecting their service I use to be happy with their service ...Not happy with them anymore service ... This is so sad, they treat their customers this way

Just because COX decided to go all digital shouldn't mean I have to pay $2.25 per box per month when I use to get Analog free. This is wrong to charge me when it isn't part of the deal I signed up for last year!!!!! I'm sick of companies dictating changes and making me pay more than I agreed to.

This is far and away the most mismanaged, poorly run company I have ever had the displeasure of being associated with the absolute WORST customer service. For for months I was not receiving 1/2 the services I was entitled to, and each time I refused to pay the bill until the issues were resolved. Each time they gave me the runaround to at least 4 different departments, and each time they claimed there was "nothing they could do" until I paid. This last time I refused to pay and insisted they disconnect my service for good. They couldn't even make that happen. COX ROBBED ME OF OVER $600, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY

I WAS PROMISED A $250 REBATE CARD FOR SIGNING UP FOR COX HOMELIFE SECURITY SYSTEM. WHAT THEY DIDN'T TELL ME IS THAT YOU HAD TO PAY $300 APPX PER MONTH FOR THE EQUIPMENT(3-MONTHS). THEN THEY DONT GIVE YOU THE OFFER CODE TO REDEEM THE REBATE AND GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT IT'S OVERPRICED AND THEY BATE-N-SWITCH AND DENY YOU WHAT WAS OFFERED. WHEN I CALLED THEY SENT ME TO ABOUT 5 DIFFERENT PEOPLE WHO TRIED TO SEND ME BACK TO THE PEOPLE WHO I SPOKE WITH PREVIOUSLY. ALL THEY DID WAS GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND. A LOUSY SERVICE.

They ran a promotional sale that said they would send us a $200 gift card for signing up for (a package deal). That was almost 7 months ago. We have called their customer service phone numbers and been lied to and given the run-around. Some of their customer service phone numbers don't seem to be functional. Our bundle included wifi and landline as well as cable tv. The wifi goes off frequently and needs to be rebooted. The tv channels sometimes don't come through. Their technology is poor....cervical is poor...and they use lying gimmicks like gift cards to sucker you into trying their service. Lousy stuff. Really lousy.

I signed up at a best buy back in November 2015, they had a promo if i signed there and got the best package available i would get a $200 rebate after 3 months of service. So I did everything I was told to qualify for the promotion. Since submitting request they've been lying to me about the status, telling me to keep calling back so they can give me an estimated time frame. Today when I called they told me I wasn't getting the rebate because I didn't have the appropriate package and that there's nothing they can do. When I took all the necessary steps to qualify. Total *** I'm cancelling my service, *** service any *** way.

I had *** services for six months in Tucson. They were the only game in town until Century Link came in with their fiber optic grid. I endured six months of lousy service. Pixellated TV screens, Internet slowdowns and random outages, being on hold forever, talking to someone who didn't speak English - it was maddening and nobody at *** gave a ***. So I finally switched a couple of weeks ago and what shows up in my mailbox? A final bill with a $192 early termination fee. I haven't decided how or if I'm going to pay, but I'm thinking a box full of coins might be in order here. *** business model. Hype the service, overcharge, under deliver then assess early termination fee when the customer finally walks. *** sucks. Vote with your feet and blast them on the 'net.

Going all digital is a joke. 2 weeks in half our digital channels are out. Instead of plugging onto the mini box we are soon forced to deal with, I plug the cable directly into the tv and bypass the mini box. To my surprise we had all our channels. So this mini digital box and digital cable is BS. This isn't progression. This is also going too lead a lot of customers to go elsewhere. Why change something that has no problems. After a year we are forced to rent these mini boxes. If I'm now forced down this road, I definitely will seek out other options outside of Cox for our tv service. Thanks for giving a long loyal customer a reason to leave and find better options, since Cox isn't obviously it anymore.

Same problem with my garbage mini boxes. Plug them in and even call Cox to activate them and nothing!

You get 3 to 4 channels. Go back to regular cable plug in and everything works. I am returning mini boxes tomorrow and if my tv's stop working soon I will go with Diirect TV.

Already contacted them and sounds like a much better deal to me. Cox has gotten too big for their britches and cancelled their superb customer service they once had.

Dude get over yourself. Don't blame the cable company, blame the area you live in.

Your area has poor signal. Of course analog signal works great, but due to government regulations, all cable companies have switched Thierry signals to digital. And cox is one of the last providers on the list for the digital change.

If you think AT&T or Dish is going to do you better, Goodluck with the upfront $200 deposit. And additional deposits for equipment.

10 days and 3 techs

Started losing internet connection 2 weeks ago and they sent out a tech a couple days later. Tech said it was the modem router so we purchased a new one through them and he installed and said the signal strength was good. 2 hours later, we lost connection again so i called tech support and they tested the signal strength and said it was extremely weak; they ordered another tech service. Next day another tech comes out and says the (brand new) modem router we purchased through the previous tech was out of order and replaced it with another new one and replaced the grounded line since the signal strength was still horrible, that worked for a day. Now with a brand new grounded line and brand new modem i am still dealing with intermittent internet and horrible download speeds when it is working. So a 3rd tech has come out and he can't figure out what's wrong...

Absolutely the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I called to check about outages in my area since my internet wasn't working. Got a guy who told me he couldn't help me and directed me to another number. While he explained this he had an accent and spoke way too fast so I politely asked him to slow down. He proceeded to speak so slow as if I was special needs. Completely disrespectful! When I called the number he directed me to, the other guy failed to try and understand my issue (which was a simple area outage) all I wanted to know was when it would be fixed. Then he told me he didn't have any answers and "it'll be fixed when it's fixed." Nobody presented professionalism or dedication to solving an issue.

There is something you can do. Call and ask to speak with retention.

The common mistake of long time customers is they are paying full rates. Ever look at the pricing of a new customer? Are you paying more than that? Well you can get it.

Call retention and threaten to cancel.

They can give you rates up to 30% less and sometimes better than new customer rates but you have to argue with them like a car salesman. The reps are trained to offer you little by little like a corrupt facial products salesman from another country.
