Disgusted with high bill

My goodness! Cox nickels and dimes their customers. I have basic cable, wi-fi and home phone. I pay $152.79. Now I’m seeing that my bill went up $5.00 for the same service which are for broadcast fees and equipment fees. Just so upsetting how much we have to pay while these big company execs get richer and richer!

User's recommendation: Look elsewhere.

Details
Tried to send back equipment on day of moving because we discontinued service. They would not send return fedex shipping box to that address. I gave them my new address in our new state that Cox did not service. I was suspicious when they did not send a fedex box or mailing instructions to return the equipement. I contacted them 5 times before I received a fedex return box for the equipment. I received a call from their subcontractor return clowns trying to charge me $300.00 for the equipment just as I had suspected would happen. style="Beware as these *** clowns are another profit for COX,

Details
My internet and cable goes down 2 to 3 times a day. Usually takes 10-20 minutes to come back. When you call customer service advised this cable/internet is down.....they would say, did you move your modem, did you turn off everything and turn it back on, blab blab blab....10 min, Oh I get a message that cable is down for your area.

Cox has very poor service / billing

I am double billed on my bill. My bank still has a hold on my second unauthorized charge. I called cox last week to make the adjustment on the double charge they stated they were aware of the 2 hold charges on my account and world make the adjust by this weds day. Well, wed Thursday Friday passed. And there was no adjust. I called a representative to release the hold. She put me on hold to investigate and dropped the call. I called back the next day and they tell me I would need to wait 5-7 days for the funds to be released , however they didn't wait that long to process your payment … very poor service . I finding other outlets to complain about this Next day to get the adjustment and get the run around

Do not go with COX they are the worst!! Way too expensive!

First of all I moved 1 block 3 yrs ago and have been a cox customer many yrs and for that 1 block move was charged $75. That was so wrong. Now I am retired and on fixed income and I tried to lower my bill by down grading. The lower bill was going to be $86.00 and could not watch several channels that I watch. All I really watch is 8 channels. My bill now is $127.00 a month for many channels I don't ever watch. I can't do dish because of landlord won't allow. This is such a rip off company!!!

On work order ticket # CS0008025622 dated 2-10-2020 Tech was 25 minutes late for appointed time without a phone call. TCOXhe technician after climbing pole outside tracked muddy snow onto front door throw rug (Very light colored beige). As I mentioned to him he looked inside his slip-on shoe covers, and they were loaded with dirt. Then after taking him into the basement, so he may check inside cable connectors. I simply asked him turn off the lights when finished, he didn't. I felt like I was dealing with some child, this was after retiring from over 20 years technical management.

Came a little earlier than expected but was very respectful &;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;courteous explained finished previous job early if ok to resolve connection problems with tvs.Very efficient &informative assuring me if anything went wpleasedrong they would come back.Everything seem to be working ok. kudos to these technician
