Cox Refused to Allow me to downgrade service.
On May 16, 2016 I had services installed. Internet, cable and Home security.
I did not want this security system. I was told the cameras were free, but no one gave me details as to what I was getting. On May 18th, I called and told cox I wanted to downgrade to internet and cable. I was told If I did that I would have to pay $585.00 and my bill would go up $67.00.
The terms and conditions state "I have 30 days to cancel. This is bad service and this is not right. I posted on facebook also and someone told me they would get in touch with me. That never happened.

Cox Phones Out
- There is no competition
- No resolution for multiple months
- You are stuck with them
- Incredibly slow internet at times
- Cutting off our phone with no notice
- Raising our bill every month
Preferred solution: Please turn our ANALOG phone back on. We will have none of this "digitial modem telephone" crap. Our current phones have worked fine for years and we do not want this Internet Phone crap.

25% increase in price after 1 year, tried to get an an answer or a better deal, kept getting the run around
does cox corporate management even take the time to look at their customers reviews, or do they just let people linger and let their underlings deal with these complaints
no it hasn't been resolved or even addressed or responded to by cox, I guess that's the way they conduct business and will probably lose a lot of customers
why do you even have this site if the company in question "COX" doesn't even respond to you or your concerns
still no response from cox, it least respond somehow, explaining if it practice to lure customers in and then increase their bill by $10 dollars a month or basically 25%. say something or tell me to go with another company who is more upfront with their customers

loyalty dept said there was nothing they could do for me. I asked if I could buy the motum I am renting for $6.99 a month they said no it was coded as a rental. I would have to buy a new one. If I knew all this going in I probably would have went with century link or another company, this will probably be my last month with them.
Service is slow and computer is always acting up. Wont recommend them to no one, horrible customer service and deceptive business practices.

No kidding. Shyster manager of West Side store told me I HAD to have a tech appointment when I wanted to transfer services to a new address...totally unnecessary, Cox just wanted to rack up charges; the connection was a simple self-registration one requiring NO INSTALLATION of any kind.
Even the tech who came out told me I could have handled it by myself. They also dinged me by switching me from a low-cost plan to a much more expensive one without informing me by word OR letter of the huge price difference......PLUS the $50 tech charge.... so when I got my outrageous bill today I called Cox, hung on "hold" forever, finally reached a halfway decent customer rep in accounts who thinks I may be off the hook since I am cancelling my service as of tomorrow within the "grace period" accorded new accounts. I dang well better.
These greedy and unscrupulous business practices put this company in the same class as used car salesmen and *** lawyers.
Yuck!!! Double yuck!!!!!
