I moved to rhode island from mass and i needed service for my business . its now 14 days latter and still no service thay tell me the voice var. Line is down and had me do it 5 different times everytime i ask to speak to a supervisor i get disconnected i think thete reps suck. Very disrespectful. Dont no there *** from there elbow . i will say if u have a choice in your state with another service privider go with a nother company stay away from cox..

Cox advertised how it's new gigablast would be 20x faster than before. This is a lie it is not any faster and streaming is worse. I complained and they said it was faster according to there data but let me tell you it's total BS. They are charging me an extra $20 more a month for no difference and when I call and tell them to rip it out they want to charge me for the 2 year contract. Cox is a scam and you have no recourse. Stay away from giga hox.

Still no reply

Well, it's been several days and no reply. I'm paying for your service and am getting shrugged off. This is ridiculous. The 100 gb I'm supposed to be getting is roughly 16gb, and every single day I have to restart my modem and router just to connect at all. And sometimes that doesn't even Fox the issue. I'm going to expect a prorated bill since my last email, as well as the problem resolved. You are no entering into complicating my wife's ability to do college coursework, the tuition is extremely expensive and we rely on your service in order to maintain the courses. I will be expecting an expedient reply as well as resolution. Thank you, Dylan Webb.

January 4, 2016Phoenix, Arizona I received a telephone from Cox Communications this morning from someone higher up in their management food-chain as the result of my complaint. While they steadfast refused to bring my monthly bill back down to the original $136, they agreed to lower it a whopping $7 down to $162 a month (from $169).A $26 a month increase instead of $33. Not much a reduction if you ask me, but I’ll take what I can get for now. Additionally, Cox told me to expect another $29 a month rate hike come January of 2017. These guys just don’t give up! So, actually my bill will go from $136 to $191 within a years’ time, with nothing extra to show for it. While I was originally complaining about a $33 a month increase, the actual increase come January 2017 will be $55 a month with nothing extra to show for it. Am I pleased. Absolutely not. Anyone else thinking about getting Cox Communications as a cable/internet provider, I suggest you do your homework carefully before giving them your business.Greed appears to be towards the top of their list. I've been a cox customer for 15 years without incident- until late 2015. We started experiencing variable internet. I upgraded to 100mbps and it's been a nightmare with speeds sometimes at 6mbps hardwired. Cox blamed my hardware and not their service. I jumped through all their hoops and spent 3 hours on the phone with Apple. It was not my hardware. ALSO, Cox representatives are inconsistent with the info they provide. I was initially told to purchase a modem of any type as long as it was a D3 to accommodate the faster internet speeds I would be getting. Well, the modem I bought wasn't compatible. So I asked "which one exactly should I purchase so I don't go through this again". Guess what? The second one was wrong too. So I got on the phone for a total of 6.5 hours over 2 days, missed my dinner twice and thought I finally had a resolution. Cox was still saying the "signals" were fine. I went to cox to swap pick up the 3rd modem. Guess what? This one I wasn't allowed to swap out. Well then why give it to me. The representative wanted ME to pay for this by going to get a 4th modem. Mind you, I am still experiencing slow speeds. While all big corporations have incompetent customer service persons, this company has taken the cake at giving misinformation, blaming the customer, lying about its services, and not being accountable. I am currently waiting for my 4th modem to come by mail now after arguing with supervisor after supervisor to correct this problem and be accountable. However, I am still getting variable speeds. I have changed all my equipment, checked all my hardware, and done everything asked and still get *** on by this company. SHAME ON YOU COX. I will be downgrading my internet speeds as the 100mbps they advertise is a scam. Beware of this company and good luck.

Cox Communications - I H8 Cox!
I am sooooo fed up with Cox Communications I could spit! I am constantly unable to send email because of “too many login attempts” and it doesn’t matter how many times I call, reboot my router and box, examine the settings on my mobile devices, go tier by tier up the ladder…Cox cannot fix it. Even changed the ISP to no avail. Then my 4 cable boxes refused to show channels I am paying for (Premium Pkg bundled with phone service) and the pay stations are all pixilated. Replaced every box, rewired the house, the outside box, tore up the street…Cox cannot fix it! I am looking at alternatives to remove Cox from my life for good! No internet, no cable TV and no phone service. Why? Because Cox is completely unreliable, sends subcontracted labor out to do repairs they cannot do and after two steady years of this (insert any series of four letter words here-it works) I am done! Cox, mini boxes that don't work, paying for channels not receiving, customer service beyond pathetic

Got the mini boxes today. Neither works. Two calls to technical support, they appear to be reading from a script (has a tree fallen in your area?), absolutely useless. One tech said there are problems in your area, the next tech says there are not problems in our area. We get some channels but a huge number of the channels we are paying for we do not get. It's round and round with customer service. The second tech said our earlier work order had been "fulfilled" (i.e. Completed). What?! I spoke with a manager who sounded like he had no idea and certainly no interest in helping resolve the issues. Said we would need to possibly pay for the tech to come out to the house (we are already losing money by paying for unfulfilled service and lost time spent picking up boxes, trying to get them to work, being on phone with absolutely useless customer "service" and now for a tech to come. Truly pathetic, we've been customers for years and years. Will be calling to switch companies first thing in the morning. Does anyone out there get the channels they pay for on the mini boxes? If not, is there discussion of a class action lawsuit? Why are we paying for channels not received?

Yikes, was in the process of changing from Verizon but after reading these reviews, I guess not. Verizon broadband has worked perfectly for over 9 years.

The last 6 months have been a nightmare. The signal drops frequently, sometimes for several minutes, sometime for an hour+. Twice I have been on the phone for over an hr. when the signal did not return.

The people were nice but were difficult to understand & kept sending me to a new person.

In the end they said it was their problem. Where can one get good internet service?

Paying for 50 MB of data, but often cannot even run one device without interruption! Horrid wireless service! hope the FDA is able to straighten it out! everyone with data problem contact the FDA as they can investigate and force compliance! This has been happening for months- had to even stop going to school for awhile do to not being able to leave home and log in on another person's internet! When a Field Supervisor came out for the fourth time, we were told, every other apartment around us had stronger internet and their internet "waves" were interfering with our being able to remain online- and on our secure network... Explain to me again why I pay for 50 mb, when my neighbor's 10 MB network is stronger? Totally confused!

This Cox may loose Channel 8 in Las Vegas is just another ploy for this greedy company to try to get more money from their customers. Cox is saying they are not wanting to pay the big fee channel 8 is requesting because if they do they will have to pass it on to their customers, bull ***. Why should anyone have to pay for this channel from Cox because you can pick it up from an HD off air channel directly from channel 8 for free. This lousy cable company is trying to find ways to line the pockets of the owners and the terrible leadership they have especially in the Las Vegas market. The Las Vegas Cox Leadership is the worst of worst from the VPs in technical service, HR and all other departments. The manager in HR and she know who she is is sleeping with everyone to move up with the company. Sorry this is a terrible company with terrible leadership that needs to go out of business. Cox is so afraid of unions that I hope one gets voted in especially in Las Vegas Maintenance department

Cox change over terrible

We live in an assisted living facility that supplies TV from Cox. Recently in the high definition change over we got a small mini box and a very small remote with very small buttons. We got no instructions or advice on usage. They changed the hook up of the TV and other components and nothing works right and some components no longer work. We have tried for weeks to get help from Cox but since we are not individual account holders they pay no attention to us. We are elderly and depend on TV for most of our entertainment and are upset and can't get any real help. The staff here at Cypress Court says they are at the mercy of Cox and they try to solve it themselves for us but they don't know what to do either. I can't believe they would give us a remote that is almost impossible to read and use because of its smallness and also NO instructions written or otherwise on how to use it. I can't record anything any more. I think Cox should be repromanded for thins kind of treatment.

Everyone knows Cox Communications is a ripoff to begin with. Why we still put up with it is beyond me.

Between my home and office I spend over $400 a month. I'm in a contract, but I'm pretty sure that within that contract they need to maintain the agreed apon channels I signed up for including KLAS.

My service sucks, and I'm tired of paying their inflated prices for channels with excessive commercials. Do we all forget that the whole reason we began paying for cable television to begin with was to avoid commercials?

Cox promises no rate increase with 2 year contract but they lie with "step up fees"

After dealing with Direct TVs inflating two year contract that's good for the first year but look out for the second we quit with Direct and signed a two year with

Cox with a promise from their sales rep. "your locked in to this price for two years with no increases after the first like Direct TV. Well they jumped up and we immediately complained on the 13 th months bill and now Cox reps say "Oh those are step up fees, plus your discounts all expired, it's in the fine print on your signed contract". So forget about having a good deal or economical budgeted 2nd year. They lie through their teeth to get you into a contract and then jack it up, hoping you won't jump ship.

Here's my thought, Cox service and equipment suck anyway and Direct will pay me with a $200 gift card so screw Cox and their deception with their poor

equipment and back to Direct for a year and then dump them again for maybe

Dish after a year or maybe Apple TV by then who knows.

But to be sure Cox and Direct are only good for the first promo year then they are to pricey for those who are middle class.

Going through the exact same thing at the moment. Going into the 13th month and my total bill (Bronze bundle) is jumping $40.

I was given the same assurances when I signed up a year ago - locked in for two years. Now they tell me it's going up $40 and if I terminate, I have to pay fees.
