Cox Communications in Williamsburg, Virginia - Same 'ol ***

I don't think the channels on regular programming pay squat to Cox Sucks Cable. It's the same *** 50 movies over, and over, and over, and over, and over, year after year. i haven't seen a new movie on Cox Sucks Cable in at least a year. Plus, they have channels like syfy that play 20 to 25 minutes of commercials per hour. The same dang commercials over, and over, and over, and over, and over, same as the movies on all their channels. I can't wait until there is a real internet provider that come's in at a reasonable price with no bundling extorsion so I can watch Cox Sucks Cable DIE!

I'm sorry to hear you're frustrated. Cox is a retail distributor of a wholesale product (programming).

We are not paid to distribute this content nor do we have control over the programming or the number of commercials broadcast by these networks.

I see you state there have been no new releases in over a year. This is simply not the accurate.

Cox Communications in Ashburn, Virginia - COX Email Account Deleted

Apparently COX just deletes email messages and accounts once they have not been used for some period of time. After calling they reestablished the account which was used on annual basis by our community association. The account was restored but no historical email. They insisted they do not delete user's data/email however they also admitted my emails over several years were gone for good. Sounds like they were deleted to me. They also deleted a second email account that was very important due to lack of use. There was no notification they were deleting content in either situation. COX promises up to 10 email accounts per cable/internet subscriber but that is not the case if they are deleting the accounts whenever the feel like it. This is the WORST example of bait and switch I have ever seen. I wrote the CEO of the company and there was no response - silence. Just terrible. They should not pretend to be an email provider. Anyone is *** to use their service for email. Now I know.

I called Cox about my slow internet speed. Technician came out and said that a rodent chewed on the line. He replaced the line. I was still getting extremely slow speed or none at all. I called again and was told that I would not be charged for the service call. He replaced my modemrouter and said that he would check on it in a week. He never came back and I was charged $120. I then called and they gave a credit on my money but was then charged $129 for the modemrouter. I've been a customer for 18 years and they wouldn't give any discounts? The technician told me that they would probably give me the routermodem but I guess he's just blowing smoke. I wish I had something else to use but really I don't. Live in a small town so choices are limited.

Cox Communications in Santa Barbara, California - Cant get my e mail

When I log in to my e mail it goes blank.then I have to keep clicking on my acct and and then go to webmail which is blank. It ususlly takes about 5 minutes of clicking different to finally get into my mail.I have been complaining for years and they cant fix it. I think its because they try to cram so many ads on the pages that you have to view to get your e mail. I even told those greedy bastards why dont you make us watch a 5 minute advertisement before we can check the e mail.If they cant run a cable company they should sell it to someone who knows how to run it. I hate Cox so much that when I see a Cox commercial on TV it makes my blood pressure go up.

Cox Communications in Herndon, Virginia - Worst customer service ever!!!

Worst customer service ever!!!!! Apparently they use an independent contractor to do home service issues. The contractor they use came to my home, m& m communications, and destroyed the access panel in my home. I have now spent 3 weeks trying to get the damaged repaired and just keep getting the run around. Cox just puts me on hold and leaves me there indefinitely until I hang up. I hate this company, but they know they have a monopoly on my condo complex and just don't care. It is mind boggling that they can get away with this, but what can a lowly consumer do against a company that provides no satisfaction?

Cox Communications - Lifeline Phone Review from Houston, Texas

Details
Multiple billing issues. They take our lifeline phone off when we never receive papers to renew it. Went to the cox store on Pine and Peoria in Tulsa and filled out paperwork it never got turned in. Then the worker told my husband the government is no longer paying for lifeline which is a lie. We have been customers for almost 6 years.

Cox cancelled my telephone package with Call Waiting, Caller ID etc....The rep slipped and told me I had a Grandfather Clause and it was illegal to cancel it.....Now they are attempting to collect $15.00 per month plus taxes!!!!!!!! They claimed I ORDERED the package stopped!!!!

They are horrible liars...I have been bundling all 3 items with them for 18 years!!!!!

There is no loyalty whatsoever....I am reporting them to the FCC..They also claim there is a tape BUT will not give me a copy!!!! Get the picture!!!!!????...BAD NEWS company.........all they do is lie and not return calls or accept emails!!!!

I've had Contour for almost two years. I had some slight problems with it not playing a recorded show, but after calling Cox, they would reset the boxes remotely and everything would work....until the next time. But in November 2014, something changed and I have had nothing but problems. I have had so many Cox technicians in my home and each one says something different and usually blames the previous tech for some kind of error! At first it was the same, not playing a recorded show, so they sent a tech. After the tech "fixed" the problem, I had NO phone or internet! When I called Cox I was told they would get a tech out in 4-5 days!!! I demanded a tech be at my house the following day and somehow one showed up. He fixed everything but within hours of his visit, the same Contour issues were there. After many frustrating conversations with Cox, many "repairs", many times that they promised a tech and NONE showed up and many missed hours at work (to be home for the service tech) I am returning my Contour boxes and going back to the DVR. If I continue to have all these problems, after 20 years as a Cox customer, I WILL BE LEAVING COX AND GOING TO ANOTHER PROVIDER!

i had similar experiences with COX. There is not a more sleazy dishonest scam artist than COX. They will arbitrarily change billing, they will dump digital channels thereby completely changing the deal they made with you. If you contract with Cox be aware that they will in short order renege on the deal and just begin frequently changing it. It is disgusting. Customer service is stunningly incompetent and always dishonest. I would record when you get someone on the phone tell them you are recoding the call and watch what happens. If you've called about tech issues make sure they don't enroll you in their $10 or $12 per month "tech assistance program". They'll tell you they can't help you with tech assistance without signing up for the additional program. Finally if you pitch enough of a fit they will put you on hold for 30 min and then finally give you the rudest most condescending person they can find to answer questions - maybe. The ultimate third world style sleazy scam artists
