Wrong/Misleading programming

For at least the third time in my recent memory Cox has published on its programming grid a description of a movie that has been made twice, describing, in this case, "The Fog" which was made in 1980 and remade in 2005. The program grid describes the 2005 version, but what's on the screen is the 1980 version. Cox can't do ANYTHING right!

User's recommendation: Go with some other company - COX is bad news!

Have experienced constant outages, rapid tiling etc with no remedies. The big jump in pricing after year 1 of their 2 year contract is truly awful. On Demand is biggest rip off of all. Most movies stay on for 6+ months, any newer movies are rent or buy. 1950 westerns, kids movies with maybe 6 to 8 new movies added monthly and many only for a short duration. Going back to Dish as soon as contract is up. In short don't waste your hard earned money.

Cox will put you on telephone death hold when you try to lower your bill by removing services. They constantly raise their rates without regard to the customer's best interests. If they had any real competition, they would be out of business quickly. Cox business practices are despicable. Cox is the greediest business I have ever had the misfortune of encountering. My latest debacle with Cox was today, 3/25/19, when after putting me on death hold, the "customer service" rip off representative came back to the phone to inform me that my bill had increased by $25/month after I dropped ESPNU from my subscription with Cox.

This has happened to me too! I have called and called.

They finally replied and tried to blame it on a recent move!

Then when I finally said they were going to send it after 3 months I have to wait another 6 to eight weeks. I seems like a scam to make you forget about the card!

NO customer service but sure keep on charging you!

For a month now I am unable to get into my email. Maybe even longer. Get the run around on the phone. Stop in a service location SV, AZ and bam they tell me to call cox solution's again. WTF! Been there done that already. Three years ago I changed the account over removed my EX, so I thought, and was told this has been done. But NO that was done incorrectly, not done at all. Now I have been on the phone for 1 hour at least again and was transferred from customer service to technical solutions and that women really sucked than again to TIER2. The rep there had no clue on what was going on. That incompetent service rep just transferred me.The service sucked from technical solutions. Once the rep picked up at TIER2 I was expected to go through the entire mess again!?!. I am so pisst I just hung up after realizing she just dumped me on this guy. On top of it I was charged for a full month of service today. Internet is always intermittent if it works at all. Why cant we get more competition in this area. High Speed internet outrageous expensive with cox, always issues, it is ridiculous. Constant issues. Now I am still unable to get into my email. Still have my EX on as primary WTF! and I am expected to call the cox solutions again for help. I think NOT! I really should just cancel all my services since I cannot call them services.

I was going into your location on Midvale and Valencia to get some service. I get out of my car I'm walking up to the store and there's people outside blasting the rap music on their phones. Plus they have this charcoal going that has all the smoke and it's killing my asthma. I asked him about the box that they had on the table under a canopy they said they were just told to put it there I go is that to put on new service they told me no and very rudely to. So I walked inside and talked to a gentleman with a beard he was nice at first but then started getting very fussy and very irritated with me asking questions. So I just decided to leave your store and go get service elsewhere very disrespected and very disappointed in the service I was given.

I called in to get a price quote about changing or disconnected my cable. I was then transferred to customer retention where the talked me into keeping my cable and that I could switch to a different box which would give me the exact same features for less money minus Recording‘s of my shows. Come to find out the agent lied I did not retain my programming it changed the boxes are not the same I can’t get the same features and I’m paying more money then she quoted me for. And I can’t change back to my original Internet price and speed because she put in the change ticket . I Called Cox back and spent over 3 1/2 hours on the phone with Cox with no resolution I still am paying more money than I was told I was going to pay for a lot less services the company has lied to me and represented false information .

I can't get a straight answer from them! How? Can you chRge this? They tell me well we were giving you a $40 credit ? Come on. Din e when do we have to pay for basic prime tv channels? This is a political financial issue. Tv already takes in ad dollars...then I look online or talk to others , we re all getting different rates for the same package!!!!! How is that? I cancelled. I am done. I am in my 50s and until my mid 20s in Chicago you could turn your tv on and for free watch basic tv!!! You can no longer do that?! The prime t. Takes in revenue thru advertising, why am I paying to watch *** inane shows lunch duck dynasty and switch wives? But how many poor people probably forgo a water bill to afford cable. It's an atrocity!

After having Cox Cable service for 9 months, approximately, here is The list of reasons why we're not happy with their service: they have spent 9months giving us the run-around about the gift card reward they promised but have refused to keep their promise. Also, the wifi router needs rebooting too frequently; and the cable box needs rebooting. Try to call their customer service dept and they cut off your call....so you have to call again and try to get through again. Nothing but frustration and quirky equipment, and broken promises and the run-around. Also, just calling their customer service call center is an ordeal....go through 5 or more different menus, then they put you in a wait/hold ***, then they cut off the phone call before you ever speak to a service rep.

I will no longer be a cox communications tv cable customer after 17 years. I pay over $100.00 per month. And for what? To buy more miniboxes in order to get the channels I am already paying for? This is a scam and consumers like us will get us to look into AppleTV or the Firestick. I was told by your customer representative that only the first 2 boxes would be free. We have 6 televisions in my household. We were told each box will cost 2.99 per month and this is yet another scam. It is no wonder why more and more American consumers are switching to the likes of Netflix, AppleTV and/or Firestick.

They ran a promotional sale that said they would send us a $200 gift card for signing up for (a package deal). That was almost 7 months ago. We have called their customer service phone numbers and been lied to and given the run-around. Some of their customer service phone numbers don't seem to be functional. Our bundle included wifi and landline as well as cable tv. The wifi goes off frequently and needs to be rebooted. The tv channels sometimes don't come through. Their technology is poor....cervical is poor...and they use lying gimmicks like gift cards to sucker you into trying their service. Lousy stuff. Really lousy.
