Before I explain why I wish I could give Cox Communications zero stars, in this review, let me say that I was a customer for almost 7 years. All I expect from a cable company is to not know they are there. I want my signal to come across and to not have any issues. For this I don't mind paying the crazy rates they charge. I never had more than basic cable, internet and home phone.

Over the life of my account with Cox Communications, I had marginal service. I could usually go a couple months with having to call and have them reset my connection, but no more. Then I would have to call them and wade through their annoying phone system and moderately helpful staff.

Recently I moved out of state and cancelled my service. While canceling the account, I was assured that I would owe only for the service I had used since the last bill and nothing more. However, I was called yesterday to tell me that I was being charged for 2 modems that I had not returned. I explained to them that the only one I had was one that I had purchased from them when I opened the account. The conceded that and wiped it from my account.

Despite having never seen the second modem, I was told that the other was essential for my phones to have worked. I explained that the only equipment I had was the modem I bought and my wireless router. With out actually saying it, they called me a liar and said they could not remove it from my bill. After almost an hour on the phone and multiple representatives, I was sent a bill for an $80 piece of equipment that was never installed and I never saw.

So, if it was possible to give Cox Communications a worse review, I would. If you have the option, please use another company or get satellite. Cox Communications is by far the worst cable company I have ever dealt with, and I have had many, while living all over the US.

If I could give Cox Communication 0 stars by far the worst company ever I would. I was a 3 yr customer up until last wk.

my house got robbed in October of 2013. I called them that day to tell them the modem, router, and controller was stolen. Along with EVERYTHING else tvs, guns, cell phone etc... They told me that there items would have to be on police report.

Well when I filled police report those 3 items were the LAST 3 on my mind. So once we recovered some of our items got back on our feet somewhat. I went and filled out another police report with those items. Well in that time until December I had to fill out another police report and what for that one.

I had only Basic Cable then that was shut off for about a month. Finally I got police went over there to pay ! $156 past due and $100 deposit. Well the very rude guy I dealt with that day.

Said that he didn't see why they would replace a router that I bought from them at the being of my service. I said because yall told me as pong as I brought police report with those items on there my service, internet, phone would be replaced and set up! He refused and then told me that they dont sell internet service that is through Net Gear. So I said I don't care who yall pay for internet pay Cox Communication every month for internet!

Then I told him to cancel my services and walked out!

I will NEVER GO BACK TO COX COMMUNICATION AND I'LL ALSO ADVISE ANY AND EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO HAVE COX COMMUNICATION AS THEIR CABLE PROVIDER!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!
