Cox Communications - Poor service and lack of concern after 30 yrs.+ as a customer

For the past 11 months, phone and cable TV service has been poor--constant loss of conversation due to static on phone line and cable TV box needing to be re-booted numerous times. After several attempts to resolve, told Cox person I was looking for another provider after 30+ yrs. as a Cox Customer. A field tech then visited my home and tried to fix problem with the same, worn-out Cox solution--reboot the signal and change the modem. This has been done numerous times in 2016 with no success but that's all the tech's know to do. In 11/16, last tech. said he was now personally assigned to my account and if any problems, call him directly. Same problem surfaced 45 days after he left my home so I phoned and left a message to call but he did not return my call. Tried to leave another message the next day but now his Cox cell phone was full and wouldn't take any more messages. Terrible service and it doesn't seem like anyone with Cox in Arizona cares. The company seems to pride itself on being a great place to work when they should be focusing more reliable equipment, knowledgeable techs and improving customer service.....Jim Brandes.

Cox Communications - FULL CHARGE WITH INTERMITTENT SERVICE

I have tried to resolve my issue(s) with COX. Not that I deserve any more than the average consumer but as a 100% Disabled Vietnam Veteran I have added stress and pain having to climb the stairs an extra one to two times a day to reset my Router. With occasional exception, the system should be on continuously. Cox receives FULL PAYMENT but DOES NOT deliver FULL SERVICE to my residence as well as other neighbor's homes. Additionally, $200+ for Home Phone/Internet/TV seems high to me. I may have to forgo one or more of the services. This is a flaw in COX provision of services. Not a blanket distaste for COX.

Cox Communications - Incredible bad customer care

Just unfortunate that there isn't a zero stars. I've been a longstanding Cox customer for phone and internet. Mainly because for internet there just isn't any service quite as fast as theirs. I pretty much knew I was making a mistake when I cancelled my Direct TV to upgrade to a bundle with Cox. My issue in the past has been with the Frequent price increases. The issue prompting this review is customer service. I reluctantly decided to bundle with Cox. I went online and added Contpur TV and upgraded my internet. I accepted the price increase and booked a scheduled installation day on the following Monday which I took off from work to be available. I decided to call on Sunday to confirm time range of install and was informed my order had been auto cancelled. After about 20 minutes of them trying to figure out what went wrong they stated that they tried to call and confirm installation (on a order I just booked the day before). I had not one call from Cox on. My caller ID nor an email regarding confirmation or cancellation. Cox customer service was useless as always. Their offer was basically they would help me rebook for a later date. I'll just go back to Direct TV where they at least made an effort to help me out. Bottom line is as soon as their is a competitive internet service Adios Cox!!! Mark Ankrom

YES I WOULD. I WAS QUOTED TV TELEPHONE AND INTERNET $ 119.57. I HAVE PAID WITH QUEST/ CENTURY LINK AND COX A TOTAL FOR THIS SERVICE $175.00. MY NEW SAVINGS BUNDLE BILL 279.51 PER MONTH.... HOW A BOUT THAT. THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDED FOR THE SWITCH WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD.AND I NEVER WILL RECOMMEND COX TO ANY BODY. THEY JUST DON'T HAVE TRAINED & HONEST PEOPLE WORKING FOR THEM.... HERE IS THE COX PITCH..... DON'T WORRY ABOUT A THING WE WILL SWITCH IT WITH NO PROBLEMS. HERE ARE THE PROBLEMS TO KEEP MY PHONE # 2 WEEKS TO GET IT DONE AFTER MANY CALLS TO COX... I HAD TO INITIATE THE ACTUAL SWITCH TO GET IT DONE. NEXT: I COULD NOT KEEP MY E-MAIL ADDRESS IT HAD TO BE CHANGED, WHICH WAS NOT EXPLAINED TO ME EITHER MY E-MAIL ADDRESS CRASHED DUE TO WRONG INFO PLUGGED IN BY COX ( NEEDED COMPUTER RESET UP } $ 40.00 EXPENSE. MY CELL PHONE WAS NOT WORKING ON THE E-MAIL SIDE ALSO I WAS NOT TOLD IT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED. I LOST ALL MY E- MAIL ACCOUNTS AND I DON'T KNOW HOW IT WILL AFFECT ME AT THIS TIME TOTAL TIME SPENT ON THE TELEPHONE TO TRY TO RESOLVE ALL THOSE ISSUES WAS EXCESSIVE AND VERY FRUSTRATING
