Cox Communications - Disgusted with high bill

My goodness! Cox nickels and dimes their customers. I have basic cable, wi-fi and home phone. I pay $152.79. Now I’m seeing that my bill went up $5.00 for the same service which are for broadcast fees and equipment fees. Just so upsetting how much we have to pay while these big company execs get richer and richer!

User's recommendation: Look elsewhere.

In addition, Cox put the original payment though two more times causing additional charges of $70! Cox denies this occured, however, the bank disagrees.

Sheena Gholston, Chicago,Illinois a 3rd party agent for Cox Cable sells and Dawn from Phoniex, Arizona a collection agent gave me the most awesome experience in my life. Their customer service was so great that I will be using Cox Cable forever. I will tell everyone how these two ladies made an extraordinary experience for me. Please let them know they are great employee but most of all wonderful people.

The tech looked like a criminal .long hair . On phone while installing my interent. Very unprofessional cicky demeanor. Name starts with an H. He looks like a druggie.di not trust on premises. He sat in his truck for at least 45 mins after he was finished. Very strange individual.

Overbilled, services dont work, techs can't fix problems. This company is like the mafia. No respect for it customers and rather than adjust our bill accordingly to match our missing service which we are still being charged for even though we can't use it they imply it is our fault and want to add more charges and make it near impossible to end our service with them. I STRONGLY CAUTION ANYONE AGAINST EVER DOING BUSINESS WITH COX COMMUNICATIONS.

Cox Communications - $200 Prepaid Visa SCAM

As I was ordering service at our new home in November 2018, the Destin , FL in-store Cox rep advised that if I selected a 3 way package (TV, Internet & Phone), I would receive a 2-yr price guaranty AND A $200 Prepaid VISA card. Now, after jumping through hoops and complying with every COX requested step, I have received a note saying "Our records indicate that this account was not originally invited to participate in the Offer". First, I didn't ask....they offered. Second, in the past 4 months, I have spoken to several COX reps and NONE indicated that I was not invited or included in this promotion. Cox Communications - Bait and Switch! Where is honesty and integrity?

Worst customer service ever! 9-2-18: Tried "chat" because I couldn't get logged on to my online Cox account. Was asked security question about name of my first pet. I have never owned a pet, but representative said there was an answer there. Since I didn't know the answer, she could not help me and she suggested I call customer care. She gave me a number 800-234-3993. I called and ended up listening to 10 consecutive ads trying to sell services, and then finally a message that the number had been changed! I went back to website to find a customer care number. Called and got help to get logged in; then found I had already been billed (only 2 days after installation) --and the amount was much higher than the promotion bundle I was sold!! So, I was transferred to Billing Department. I purchased a bundle for $69.99 to include internet/modem, VOIP phone (and Cox would provide phone), cable/DVR for 24 mos.-- no contract. I was sold this bill of goods by Sam at 855-312-1730 on 8/23/18 -- avoid him!! My first bill 2 days after installation was $112.75. I learned upon installation that Cox does not provide phone -- Sam just doesn't know his business! Billing department (Shay) could see the $69.99 promotion, but said she couldn't do anything so she sent me to loyalty campaign dept.; loyalty department said that the pricing did not include modem and DVR (even though Sam specifically mentioned those were included in the promotion bundle). Even removing those components from the bill $12.99 and $9.99) doesn't make the bill add up to $112.75??? Bait and switch! Now loyalty dept. says they can remove phone (which I didn't want anyway), and reduce bill by $10/mo. -- and that the ports on modem would be inactive, so I could not use those ports??? Well, I need at least one of the ports. They say they cannot reduce bill any more than that unless I want to give up DVR. This is bait and switch at its finest!! What happened to honesty and integrity? Plus I have now spent an unsuccessful and frustrating 2 hours trying to straighten this out. Finally I got a $2.00 concession (from loyalty dept.) on DVR!!! WOW! Can anyone recommend a provider with integrity and honesty? I'm looking! I am a very unhappy customer, and it's only been 2 days!!

COX Communications, Terrrible

Dumped the cable television, to costly, turned the cable box to my local Cox Store. My next bill had a partial cable television charge. Was told by two different No Service CSRs that the COX Store cannot cancel my service even if I have no cable box to receive television. I should have called the billing department to cancel, In order to keep my internet connection I had had to pay a partial months television charge fee. COX is a content provider, complaints must go to the FCC not to local authorities, good luck with that. Terrible company to due business with. Latest problem, when I cancelled my cable TV service, the No Service CSR offered a free year of Wi-Fi internet TV for free use on laptop. Not a good package, 3 C-Span Channels , several shopping and Spanish channels the rest garbage. Got this months bill with a TV charge, No Service CSR stated no record of a free subscription to Wi-Fi TV, again pay the bill or loose the internet.
