Cox Communications - Had a FABULOUS experience with Mick Sheehy

My husband could not get the TV in our Great Room to work. We called Cox and they said there were problems in the neighborhood. When they said the problems was fixed the TV still would not work. I called 1-Like855 219-9802 and got Mick Sheehy. He was better then WONDERFUL... a HUGE ASSEST to Cox. He tried a number to things and after figuring out it was the little box on the TV he got the TV to work. He was VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, COUTEOUS and extremely helpful. Mick is in the Sand Diego market. NEVER let him leave. He was sooooo helpful. Bryna and Martin Smith

Cox Communications - Failed to bury cable

Since July 19, 2019 Cox has been unable to bury my replaced cable line. 6 plus techs have come out and they all say the same thing. We can’t do anything- we outsource the burial service. This is exactly why monopolies are a problem- no competition no service.

Details
Have experienced constant outages, rapid tiling etc with no remedies. The big jump in pricing after year 1 of their 2 year contract is truly awful. On Demand is biggest rip off of all. Most movies stay on for 6+ months, any newer movies are rent or buy. 1950 westerns, kids movies with maybe 6 to 8 new movies added monthly and many only for a short duration. Going back to Dish as soon as contract is up. In short don't waste your hard earned money.

In the lat week my cable box has inadvertently rebooted itself in the middle of my program. Cox, pay attention! When this happens I question how much worse will this get? Is this temporary or is this systemic? Do you care and what are you doing about this? Wake up cox! The end is near!

in early jan and now again in may the programs i have recorded freeze then go to black screen. ALL my recordings did that last night. i could not watch any recorded programs. several error messages came on repeatedly stating "sorry there was a problem with playback of this DVR recording" and "sorry we ran into a problem. " their new? cox communications contour/panoramic router/modem is a piece of junk. i have trouble with all 3 of my services. i am thoroughly disgusted. the in house reps that came out both said that is is a software problem and there is nothing i / they can do. how can cox get away with this? are there any solutions?

I am paying for 200 channals at $160. And first of all theres never anything on. Every *** channal is some stupid paid of some type. If i finaly find somthing on, that channal starts *** up. By either loosing voice or some blue box keeps popping up. The one channal i do or did watch TV land everyday now sucks to. They took all good shows off. And the shows you do watch are the same ones you just seen yesterday. Every show is like that. I complain like everyone else but they say they have no control over the networks. Lol I want to change like most ppl are but i do not want a dish. Weather reasons. I live on east coast we get alot of snow n rain storms. If anyone knows of any other actual cable comp on the east coast.

Cox Communications - Constant rise in cost for cable

Last month I got my bill and it had jumped from 195.00 to 235.00 with out any warning. I'm on a fixed income and I can't afford this every month. Every cable or satellite company tells me I'm paying way too much. I'm about to switch companies. You get tired of looking at the same thing over and over, you might see it at 1:00 and again at 3:00. Snap channels is good at it . If it's not about Aaron Hernandez, it's Bobby Kristina, or O.J or Jodi Aries which you have seen forever. I was told from some out of state people that we have the worst cable companies they have seen.

Beware Cox. Cox has ETF's. Early Termination Fees that are typically the cost of the entire contract period. In addition, Cox will automatically roll you over and lock you into one year agreements unless you notify them in writing 30 days before your current agreement ends. Cox is not the only game in town. Would highly recommend people look "elsewhere" for more competitive and responsive services... During the install, one bad cable box was returned. Told cox we don't need it. They continue to charge us for it. Just say no to "Cox Cable", and you'll probably be much happier in the long run..

Cox Communications - Phone number appearing on TV Monitor

This is a suggestion and not a complaint. when a land phone rings, the number pops up on the TV screen. However, the fonts are very small. If the person watching TV is any distance from the screen, the fonts are very hard to see. Perhaps, Cox can make the fonts variable so that individual customers can increase or decrease them as desired. Thanks!!! The Cable TV Service is very good as well as the customer service that we have received. This business of having to have 100 words or more for some people such as I, is not very good marketing.

At 12 a.m. the channel i was watchimg is the only one i can view. I call the # they provide... and cox says it will only last for 6 hours. I fewl lile i should get a 25% reduction for today in my bill. Plus, my internet, thru Cox, sucks now as well. No wonder cable is dying. Just die already. Time to cancel and cut the overpriced cord!!!
