Cox Communications - Poor customer service!

Tried to downgrade since my cable costed more than my electricity, and was told can only do it by phone. Then was put on hold forever because they knew I wanted to downgrade. Just left me on hold, bet if I said I was calling to pay my bill, it'd be answered ASAP. No wonder everyone is ditching Cox for internet tv.

I have been with Cox cable for almost twelve years, it seems like every six months my bill goes up, so I have to call them up to get a short term promotion to lower the bill for three to six months. This is such a pain and a waste of my time. I will be paying almost three hundred dollars to watch a few channels, why don"t they let me just pay for the channels I want to watch. I want to get rid of them, if it was not for my husband who likes the sports and history channels. We will be looking for another cable company. I am so stressed out every time the rate goes up. We all need to fight this corruption. Big companies are getting greedier every day!!

My mother passed away leaving my 95 year old father with dementia. We cleared out the apartment to move my father to another state. I returned the cable box and was informed that 3 boxes were missing and the charge would be 757 dollars. There is not 30 dollars of electronics in these cable boxes and these boxes are several years old. The charge is obscene and beyond ridiculous. I offered to settle for 100 and was refused. They refused to let me fill out their lost equipment report because I was not on the account. I called customer service and the lady in a nasty tone told me that they would go after the estate, which does not exists. Never would I deal with this company and actively discourage others from doing so.

Most cable companies increase the cost after a certain period of time and the rep you spoke with should have told you when and by how much the increase would be. However, I suspect in order to get your order they neglect to mention this fact.

Tell them you want to hear the recorded conversation---they always record---to determine what was said during your conversation. Don't let them tell you they don't have it.

That's the best way to resolve the matter. The arbiter can access this.

Cox Communications - My opinion..

I read everyone's complaints..I have been with Cox for over 20 years NOW... I AM EXTREMELY happy with Cox.. I have NEVER had any issues.. Their HIGH SPEED Internet is GREAT!!! NEVER AN ISSUE... MY Bill has NEVER GONE UP... I am just a Customer.. I am NOT employed by Cox.. I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW, I AM PICKY!! COX IS THE BEST SERVICE EVER.. Those that are NOT happy probably have a tendency to complain about everything... Some people are NEVER PLEASED.. IF THESE COMPLAINING customers are NOT happy then WHY THE *** DO THEY CONTINUE their service with Cox??.. i know Why. Cox Communications - Worst cable company in the United States

I hate this company, I have had *** cable for 2 years with auto pay, and recently checked my bank statement and each month my bill is different even though I havent changed my service. I called and ask why, they said they dont know why, gave me credit only to find this month it is differnt again. I suggest anyone that has *** cable to keep an eye on your bill to make sure they are not adding more dollars for nothing. This is a very greedy company that tries to nickel and dime their customers hoping the customer doesnt notice it. Come on *** cable treat the people that keeps you in business better.

I have been without cable service for 2 months. There have been 7 visits from different techs. I have had to wait many hours, reschedule my work schedule and still no service. When O call support or even request a supervisor, I get different answers. The provl is not the equipment or the lines into my home but the "outside feed", they have not told me what they intend to do. I can't imagine a company of the magnitude and the only one servicing my area to be so incompetent! It's a monopoly and I am prepared to take legal action. Looking into a class action, I'm sure I am not alone

Cox Communications - Incapable of resolving outages for cable TV

I've had TV cable service with Cox Cable in the New Orleans area (Metairie) since August 2016 (3 months), and had long-term outages twice (once for 12 hours due to a thunderstorm), and currently for over 24 hours, also due to a rainstorm. Still have no service and no one in "customer service" can even tell me where their technicians are in resolving the issue. It's Nov. 8, election night, no cable service, no concept of when it can/will be repaired. How does Cox Communications even keep its license, never mind poor customer service. Customers are at their mercy, for seemingly unwilling to hire enough - or competent - employees to meet customer needs. There are options -- DIRECT TV - or simply cancel Cox in protest until it learns how to run its company with efficiency.

Cox Communications - Do Not Switch to Cox' new Contour2 TV boxes... they don't work!

Cox has promoted switching to their new Contour TV boxes. We had consistent problems with our old Cox boxes, and Cox reps convinced us to switch (for $75 install fee) to the new Contour TV which would stop the monthly need to reboot the old boxes. Well, guess what, Cox lied once again. And they have enhanced their infamous reputation for being the worst cable TV company in America. The new boxes have frozen twice, and cannot be rebooted remotely or manually. And, COX does not know how to fix the problem- their reps actually told us that there is nothing they can do to fix the problem... "NOTHING I CAN DO!?" Now that's the Cox service you can expect. And... they can't tell us when (if) service will be returned. The first time this happened on Saturday, we were without service 15 hours. Today (Monday), so far we are without service for 12 hours with no commitment to fix it... other than they'll send out a techie on Tuesday. ADVICE: Stay the *** away from Cox Communications in Connecticut...
