Cox Communications - Horrible Customer Service

Due to my children and so many others are now doing online learning I called the trusted COX for the best internet service. I was at this time told there was a $100.00 deposit and to pay an old bill so I did. I later went online a week later to view my bill and the automated system stated that I owed $508.60! So I called and was transferred multiple times and no resolve on my behalf. So after 12 calls I have come to the conclusion that COX truly does not offer any true customer service. They are simply looking to line their pockets and take advantage of single moms like me and so many others. Shame on you COX and just when I thought worrying about the CORONAVIRUS was my biggest worry, now a I can add an outlandish COX bill to my worries.

Does anyone at cox know how to do their job correctly and not hangup one the customer when they are caught in a lie! I'm so sick of the run around and no solution. i transferred to cox cause my disabled son needs the wireless cable monitor due to not having a outlet with all his equipment. i was promised it 3 times and still nothing. but they are sure charging me for it. How can they get away from doing this? I think we all need to come together and fight against cox .ALSO because of the virus they decided to charge double for techs to come out to your house.

Details
Tried to send back equipment on day of moving because we discontinued service. They would not send return fedex shipping box to that address. I gave them my new address in our new state that Cox did not service. I was suspicious when they did not send a fedex box or mailing instructions to return the equipement. I contacted them 5 times before I received a fedex return box for the equipment. I received a call from their subcontractor return clowns trying to charge me $300.00 for the equipment just as I had suspected would happen. style="Beware as these *** clowns are another profit for COX,

Cox Communications - Avoid cox cable !!!! All advertising is bs, they do not care once you sign up. Do not!!! Do auto pay!They will not refund your money, just give you credit and still over charge you for there services.

Details
The Cox installer was here four hours connecting four TV receivers and a modem. He was on the phone almost that whole time. They have been out twice since. Replaced the modem. Today my wife returned her receiver. This replacement seems to work, but I'm not holding my breath. WHY DID THEY INSTALL USED HARDWARE?

Cox Communications - Accountability

I spoke to a Cox Representative that setup a payment arrangement for my account. Lo and behold my services were disconnected before the date agreed upon. I called and no one could do anything even though the rep put the wrong date. Cox customer service sucks and you can’t even trust what they say even when there’s record of it, they do what they want.

Cox Communications - PROBLEMS, PROBLEMS, TOLD ME DO NOT OWE, TURNED ACCT TO COLLECTIONS

Yes, I have contacted Cox many times. I had numerous problems with them and finally stopped service. Twice Cox told me someone would be here to pick up the modem. It sat by front door for over 6 months. No one ever showed. Then I got a bill. When I called about it, no one picking up modem, they can, still sitting here, the staff told me I HAD TO TAKE IT TO THE NEAREST OFFICE, TEN MILES AWAY. I explained Cox said they would pick it up. "You must take it to the nearest office." I have had 3 brain surgeries, driving very limited, etc." Staff insisted that I get someone to take me. I then stated they were discriminating against handicapped person and was ignored. I said, "Listen to me. You are discriminating against a handicapped person." Staff continued to state I had to bring it in. I could not. After I complained Cox staff said i would never receive another bill from them. Now, Cox has turned the $300+ bill over to collections which has turned the bill over to credit reporting agencies. RUDE, LYING STAFF.

cable and internet out I called and she said disconnect everything and re connect and go through many steps. I then couldn't get everything back to where it should be. I went on line and it said the entire area was out and had been out for awhile... why didn't the agent know that?? the voice mail system is abhorrent and anti consumer The only way they communicate is by text and after 20 minutes they still cant tell me my bill amount. I asked for a manager and never got a response 32 years with cox. I'm done. good bye and please know you have one of the worst customer service I've ever encountered I'm without cable and internet but its worth it not to deal with this company

Also contact your congress critters to urge that cable and internet be regulated as utilities. Also complain to your local franchise authority.

Enough complaints can actually get the cable company FIRED!! I know because we did it to AT&T when the took over cable services in Jacksonville, FL.
