I'm having the same problem this week the internet went down foe the 3rd time. I called cox and they said there were no outages in my area and had me unhook the cable from the modem so they could clear out the static from the cable lines (their words) then it started working.

Now, it's down again. I don't have time to sit on the phone for 30 minutes 3 times a week #CoxCommunications

Let me tell you a story about a Cox service visit at my home this week... We have been experiencing intermittent internet issues at my home since late last week. I called on Sunday, and Cox sent a service tech on Tuesday. The tech's "supervisor" also showed up for this call. After replacing my modem, and working on our node, service had improved. However, this did not prevent the outage for our entire neighborhood the following day, nor has it prevented our service from continuing to have these issues. This is only part - a minor part - of my concern. See, after Cox left on Tuesday, we noticed our Directv wasn't working. I spent hours trying to fix it as I have been able to in the past, but this time they had to send a service tech also. The Directv tech shows up and immediately finds the problem - ALL THE CABLING FROM THEIR DISH HAD BEEN CUT! Four hours later, my house had been rewired for satellite TV. This was an immense inconvenience to me and my family, and was (I believe) DELIBERATELY CAUSED by Cox. I called Cox yesterday to report this issue, and they said I would be hearing from someone. I am still waiting, Cox. And I am prepping my letters to the Arizona AG office, the BBB, and the FCC.

Cox Communications - Fraud?

I have had ongoing and continuous issues with my internet for over 5 years. Most recently I have had extensive issue that caused me to not be able to even work from my office. On two separate occasions I was told a representative would call me within 48 hrs. to discuss what is occurring. I am well past the 48 hrs. that had been promised and not a single call. I believe that among the many issues I am having the fact I can not even get a call that was promised is beyond irresponsible on the part of Cox. I also believe that to have such an issue for this length of time is more than ample to display the patience I have had with this matter. I have spent money that was not necessary because the blame was placed on everything from my lines inside the home to equipment that was not defective. I did this this so there was not a chance to blame me for a Cox problem. Even after doing this Cox has refused, by lack of action to repair problems, to take needed action to repair the service so that it is dependable as advertised. The service I receive is not discounted or supplemented regardless of the fact there has been a continued lack of dependable service. Had I attempted to compensate Cox with payment resembling the same dependability of my Cox service I would have been disconnected and reported to a collection agency. It should be embarrassing to this company to have such poor response or care for the customer. i Have missed two complete days of work due to the service being out and countless periods of time during the time the service was "working" in the past week. I have no other option for a provider at this time as Cox is the only cable provider in my area. It seems that either Cox is aware of the monopoly they have and do not fear losing customers or that the leadership is simply ineffective to resolving service issues.

Cox Communications - Worst Service Ever

After having Cox replace our Modem on an average of every 4 months, I found out that Cox was installing refurbished Modems; some as old as 2010. 1. The Webmail design is awful and browsing is very, very slow. 2. Cox forces customers to change their password every 3-6 months, depending on which Rep answers the call. I have NEVER had my email password compromised since using the same password for years. 3. Most of the Reps are poorly trained or clueless and not been able to resolve customer issues repeatedly. 4. Cox has a first level repair person to our residence repeatedly who are unable to fix the problem. This has happened numerous times until we demanded that a second level repair person is sent to resolve a problem when the first level repair person is not able to do the repair. It's ridiculous! It is my hope that other communications companies will come along that has integrity, provide good customer service, and competitive enough that forces Cox need to make for their customers or lose them.

Cox Communications - Service stops in the middle of reading emails or i can't access email at all.

Almost every time I try to access my emails I either get so far and then the character that indicates the computer is searching just goes round and round until I get angry and leave or I do get on to my emails and am in the middle of reading one and at the bottom of page it will say server not available. Just a pain to deal with, have called Cox in the past for issues and they say do this do that and nothing ever seems to work. If you look on the web you will see several site saying if you have trouble accessing your Cox mail you need to change your password. If that is the problem why can I access it some times, but not others and why would the server become unavailable in the middle of reading my emails?

if the cox regime monopoly could get zero stars i would give them that rating. contacted them 7 times about sudden speed drops and they didnt do *** about it. speeds went from 50/5 to 10/1 all of a sudden without any account changes. they refused to provide any reason at all. a tech was sent but all he did was *** around and claimed the starter speed was correct smh. all cox does is acam people more and more each year. at&t century link and cumcast all refuse to serve my area. they all claimed the address wasnt recognized or some *** these monopoly regimes need to be broken up so theres more competition and cheaper prices

Cox runs a monopoly where I live. It is the only cable option I have in my apartment complex. I constantly deal with my internet connection either being extremely slow/laggy, or it doesn’t even work at all. In fact, right at this moment, I am trying to study online for my test tomorrow at 9 a.m. but I can’t because my internet isn’t working! If you can help it at all, do not waste your money by giving it to this poor excuse of a cable provider. They clearly do not care about customer satisfaction or the quality of their services. They only care for what is in your wallet.

Cox Communications - Horrible, horrible, horrible!!!

Cox has the worst service ever. In particular, it has gotten worse over the past couple of years. After hours on the phone and many complaints, no resolution. Slow speed, terrible customer service, extremely poor email platform--I could go on forever. As an example, I am 5 minutes into typing an email and it simply disappears. I try repeatedly to retype and the same thing happens. As a working professional, I can't afford to waste this kind of time every day. When I talk to customer service they claim that they have to have a certain quota of complaints before they can do anything. Their fees are very, very high for a terrible product. I am switching to a new service provider. Don't waste your time with Cox.

Cox Communications - Ripped off

We went with cox for the internet speed. We got a bundle because there was a price break but we use internet for TV and told the tech to take the equipment with him. ..all we needed was the modem. the advantage of the bundle expired and we went with internet only. suddenly we are charged $300 for equipment we never got. They won't listen, they won't give you names or numbers of anyone that could help, and I had a choice of the credit mark or pay the extortion. monopolies suck and this one should definitely be broken up. customer service is a big fat zero and the company is a bunch of criminals. find another company if you can.
