How many times in one year are you going to raise my bill. I don't even get better service just paying more for the same lousy crap I have had all along. High speed internet is not that speedy. Service goes down quite often. Too many Spanish channels that I don't even want, knock those off and lower my bill to a reasonable rate. Why do I need a hundred words before this complaint will post???? Cox Communications - Terrible Customer Service. An unannounced 12.5 % increase in this month bill!

I have been with Cox for years. Not too much choice in my neighborhood. I wanted to leave as they constantly increase my bill. They eventually reduced by reducing the service or the speed or both. My bill I got yesterday for internet only went for $$61.79 to $69.56. That's a 12.5% increase. When I called customer service, Mr. Frank sounded like he could care less about my account. I am getting someone else to service me. I didn't get 2% increase at my job to hand them a 12.5% increase. Highway robbery. I hate monopolies. They have us trapped. But not for long. I am done with their billing games. They can shop around for another sucker.

I called in to get a price quote about changing or disconnected my cable. I was then transferred to customer retention where the talked me into keeping my cable and that I could switch to a different box which would give me the exact same features for less money minus Recording‘s of my shows. Come to find out the agent lied I did not retain my programming it changed the boxes are not the same I can’t get the same features and I’m paying more money then she quoted me for. And I can’t change back to my original Internet price and speed because she put in the change ticket . I Called Cox back and spent over 3 1/2 hours on the phone with Cox with no resolution I still am paying more money than I was told I was going to pay for a lot less services the company has lied to me and represented false information .

I agreed to go again, with a one year contract, to get them to lower the bill a little and then after one month, it is now back up and even MORE than it was before! I have had it with this company. Is a there an internet, phone and cable TV provider who will bundle who is less expensive than Cox in southern CA?

My bundle for Ultimate had expired, as I had for 2 years, so they wanted to increase my price by a huge amount (going from 115 to well over 190/month). So, I went to the website, and did the next few things, and this was the outcome: The website offered a bundle which the apartment complex couldn't honor. Had to call and confirm order, which the lady on the phone did, and took off phone service, so I could get the rest of the bundle. Then I had to go buy a $200 modem. Then I went to the Cox Store, who couldn't see that I setup service, or put a deposit. Then I picked up the boxes from Cox Store, went home and plugged them in Then I plugged in the cable modem I purchased (CM1000) Then I had to get it activated, which it wouldn't connect, sure and the helpdesk said that I couldn't get the service here. Then they said I couldn't activate due to the Cm1000 not being compatible, then they said that I'd have to have a professional install, instead of a self install, which the lady on the phone and store said I could do. Then I spoke to a manager, and he activated the account, but modem wouldn't activate. Then I returned the item via Amazon (still waiting on UPS to pick up) Then I went to the cox store and they tried to resolve the issue, but couldn't add the modem. Then they finally were able to add phone service, and give me the modem. Then I go home, and the modem won't activate, though they activated at the store. So I had to call support again, and they stated that there was a work order open to install. They resolved the work order, and 'activated' the modem, and said they would reboot it. That was the end of the call, and the guy was very rude. Then The modem came online, but couldn't activate due to a major unexpected outage in our area (note, the downstairs neighbor has cox, and no outage there, so whatever) Then the lady on the support phone (cuz I had to call yet again), said that the work order was completed, but the service not activated on the account, so she activated it, but couldn't get the service to work because of the outage. Then around 2am my service came online, and I was finally able to do about 8 hours of work in 3 hours, and have no *** sleep. This has been one HUGE screw up by Cox since upgrading my service, and I am MOST ASSUREDLY NOT HAPPY AT ALL.

I called 3 months ago to cancel my service because they'd raised my bill so much after a year of service. The guy convinced my to stay by dropping the price and said they would cancel my contract. A month ago I called again, I'd decided to cut the cord on cable. The guy said thay the internet price would jump to 92 and month of I did that so I'd swith to Centurylink. All of a sudden he managed to get me a discount of 55 a month for internet only and no contract. Fast forward to this month, I'm still billed for internet and cable so I called again. The woman on the phone said that she had no record of my previous conversations, had no discounts to offer me and that I was still under contract so would have to pay and early termination fee. I'm so pissed off I'll pay the stupid fee just to be rid of these lying *** Too bad because before all of this I was happy with their service, but I can't stand a liar! Go screw yourself Cox, I will never be a customer again.

Hi, new customer of Cox ...almost a year. I need the high speed internet and century link only offers 30mg in my area so Cox is it. Last week Contour box went out, called was told the next day a tech could bring out new one, I had major dental work that day, so I decided to p/up Contour box after appt...not the best but I wanted to relax and watch GOT after dental so p/up box...home open box...NO POWER CORD!!! Call Cox was told not till next day could tech come bring cord and they would waive the 75.00 dollar fee! I had passed tech in area on my way home...After arguing with Cox I asked for supervisor...no luck so ended conversation...called back after meds kicked in...supervisor told me first thing in am...that did not happen...it was close to 10am...and he had attitude! Took him 5 minutes! When high speed from another company comes to my area I am ditching Cox after that experience! Treat good paying customers like trash.

Cox Communications - COX "goes out" in my area all of the time and obviously they use bandaids to fix things because if they repaired it right it wouldn't "go out" so much.

All of the time in Sun City Summerlin COX "goes out". I have lived here 7 years all with COX and I would bet on 100 or more "outages". To me that means they do not want to spend enough money to fix it correctly once and strengthen their system in our area. I run my business out of my house and pay for the highest internet speed possible but the outages are just too much distraction. I have been with COX for 14 years but have never thought of them as a good company at all. Just a typical money grabbing USA corporation the likes of which are ruining our country. Louis J.
