Cox Communications - Complaint

I cancelled Cox internet and phone because my modem went bad for a week prior to cancellation. Cox scheduled a tech twice to deliver a modem to me and cancelled the delivery each time for no reason. I cancelled service with Cox waiting 45 minutes on the phone to do so. The Cox service rep. claimed I would receive a $72 refund. Instead today Cox billed me $47. I don't know how they can bill me when there was no internet or phone use and I cancelled my Cox relationship after being with them for 15 years, a month ago.

User's recommendation: Avoid doing business with this company.

Cox Communications - Overbilled for 2 years

My sister was billed over $100 a month for over two years for a modem that was sitting in a closet because a technician said it was outdated when she asked him if needed it back after installing a new one. She was not aware that they continued to bill her for the old one as well as the new one. They claimed they could go back very far to give a refund. $3000 overbilling and they won't give any of it back? That is disgusting.

Cox Communications - Cox rents you their modem but won't replace when it fails

We've been renting a modem from Cox for 15 years not realizing that we didn't have to rent their modem. We paid around $1,400 over the course of 15 years for this service and realized that several times when we have problems with the modem, they weren't willing to replace it. They all but said the modem was bad because we had to keep restarting it. What is the point of having a rental agreement on a modem yet not having the benefit of protection when that modem fails? I guess shame on us for being naive however they quit complaint to the Arkansas State Attorney General's office should address this issue promptly. I'm guessing others have experienced this and a class action lawsuit would then be in order.
