Who interrupts someone explaining what they want with a “whoa whoa lady” and then when you ask them “if you are going to have an attitude could you please transfer me to someone else “ to have them respond “well I could just hang up on you “. Yeah nobody would just say that to you unless you, yourself, were having an attitude. I think ppl forget there’s a living breathing person on the other line and you were a little shocked when the person responded AS a person and not a robot that you can virtually bully and talk to like a second class citizen. Most people working in call centres have college degrees and are making 20$ an hour and over, think about that next time.

Started using Cox years ago. Over time, they have gone downhill. Lately I have been getting phone calls during the day and evening, I am on the Government No Call list and have reported it to them. I contacted Cox today and they say nothing they can do, BUT if I were to get their PREMIUM telephone plan they could block the calls. I thanked them for their customer service and looking for a new provider. Their rates are continuing to increase and only other one in town has left. Looks like only thing left is to go satellite but don't want the dish installed on the roof. Some company needs to move in an take them out of business. Nothing left for low/limited incomes.

I (unfortunately) was a customer of Cox for 20 years (I am ashamed to admit that) I have now moved out of California and closed my bill out. The person I closed my account out with said I did not owe them any money at all now I have a bill for an additional $86.40 for a telephone modem that I did not even order there is no telephone modem in the house I just left. When I ask for a copy of the work order or the completion form I was suppose to have signed they said I would have to go into a Cox store and get a copy because the "Customer Service" office could not give out that kind of information because they did not have access to it. What did they bill me from? And why did they wait until I moved out of state to bill me? They are great at raising there rates but when it comes to service what a joke. I would recommend sending smoke signals before I would recommend Cox Communications.

I agree!!! I'm glad someone is looking into them.

Unfortunatley my building is only wired to them, soon to be changed. They know they have you. If you ask for a reduction, like you I've been with them over 20 years, they put you on hold, look to see what other companies are there and see they are the only one. They charge for everything.

It's a monopoly and it needs to stop.

I can't wait till they finish wiring for other companies. And being HANDICAP would help, but nooooooo if they have to send a tech out I will be charged...I'm tired of fighting with them and supervisors.

Cox Communications - Poor customer service in your Topeka Kansas store from the only female clerk on March 26, 2016. I did not get her name, but should have.

We were in your Topeka store today and needed to replace the box for my father who is 89 years old. He had a small box and they wanted to replace it with a box 3 times the size and I questioned it with the clerk and she proceeded to tell me that that was my only chose. She also told me that we could not order a smaller box, that we would just have to wait and see what was delivered to the store. We took the box and after 2 hours on the phone with a COX tech, he determined that the box was defective. He did tell me that he could order a smaller box and have it mailed to my dad's address and that we could go back to the store and get another box today. We did and talked with another clerk and found out that they did have a mini box in store and we could get one of those. I informed him what I had been told earlier and he did not understand why she had misinformed us so badly. WE are now 3 hours into this ordeal and back home to install another box. That install was successful, but I am very upset at her attitude and the lack of knowledge she had and her ability to provide us good customer service. I feel she needs to be reported and retrained in the product you have to sell. I hope you will take the necessary steps in dealing with this matter and would appreciate a response back from you.

Take the necessary steps to retrain this clerk and let her know she has provided poor customer service.. She needs to take care of her attitude and listen to her customers needs.

Cox Communications - Long distance telephone call

On my current bill is an international call for 34 minutes which brought my bill $111. over the usual amount. I submitted a request for investigation. This same thing happened to a neighbor a few years ago. The call was removed from her bill after they investigated it. What I wonder is how can a call show up like that as being made from my home phone ? Can someone who knows my number or someone from the cable company who has access to equipment make calls and have them billed to other people that they pick out for some reason ?

Cox Communications - Cox Cable charges

Cox Cable requires you to have boxes to get TV service. The boxes we got would not work in several rooms of our home. My husband spent over 2 hours on the phone with different technicians trying to find out what the problem was. They sent a technician to our home and he came in without a meter and my husband told him he needed one to check the line. There was a very weak signal coming into the house. He said he would have to install new lines. My husband said they needed to check under the house because Cox had worked under there. They went under the house to check the line and again he forgot to take his meter. Cox had installed a filter so we were not receiving a strong enough signal for the mini or regular boxes to work. I get my bill and they had the nerve to charge us $75 for a service call. You send a technician who evidently isn’t completely trained or know he should use a meter to check the lines; you had installed a filter on our lines so the boxes wouldn’t work; then you want us to pay for it. If it wasn’t for my husband knowing what to do we would have had to pay for new lines. You need to train your techs; you need to take responsibility for your mistakes and quit trying to make the customers pay for it

Cox Communications - Poor technical support

About three weeks ago I experienced difficulty with my TV and internet service. To make the story short, you dispatched a repair person to my residence and he changed the cable running from the pole at the street to the house. In doing so he remove the surge protectors for the coax cable (cox) and my telephone service. Before he departed he stated the he did and that the protectors really were not necessary. I was happy to have my internet and tv service restored. The following day I had no phone service. The repair person arrived on the second day and asked if anyone had been working in the phone system box. I stated that the cox repairman did. The phone person stated that the phone wires had been cut and that the surge protectors were missing. That evening I got chatting with COX about it all and I was informed that a COX repair person would arrive the following afternoon. That did not happen. All I want to happen is for COX to replace the surge protectors or have the electrical power company do so as it it they who installed that in the first place.

Cox Communications - Can't get our phone service(land line)back .

A misunderstanding-Cox thought we said it would be ok for them to come out and install digital telephone.I called them to cancel it.Rep assured me it was cancelled.They failed to tell Frontier not to cut off our phone service . Well-our service was cut off on Dec.2. I've been trying for a week to get this resolved. They wouldn't talk to me as I am not authorized on the account. My boyfriend(account in his name)called to get me authorized and now they won't talk to him either.They say they need his 4 digit pin # off a bill. We don't have it! Come on-there's no other way to prove who you are? They want him to go to a Cox retail store and show ID and set a new pin # Not doing that-it was their fault! Beyond frustrated!

On June 2015 I called cox customer service regarding my account. I spoke with several customer service James, Cassandra and Fernando. I was on the phone for 3 hours and finally got escalated to a supervisor. Luke, supervisor, had gave me an explanation in regards to our bill. He mentioned we had 200 channels which I discovered it wasn't working (off air) but being charged. He mentioned that he will be able to adjust our bill since we only have 155 channels. A credit will be issued every month for 4 months time ( worth $220). He mentioned for us to continue paying $114.43 versus what they are charging $169.43 and a credit will show up each month for 4 months. June bill showed still over billed. I paid $114.43 and showed a balance. July billed came no credit showed. I called customer service and spoke with Laura. I was very upset because cox did not deliver what he told me. Monthly credit of $55 Laura put me on hold for 30 minutes she came back to tell me she coul not find Luke. Then I requested to speak with her supervisor she said she don't know her supervisor. Put me on hold for another 15 mins then she hang up on me. That made me angry. So rude!!! I have been a customer for almost 10 years and I have never had a super bad customer service. Normally it's tolerable but this time I can't forget how I was treated. Why do cox hires customer service employees that are so rude and does not want to work with the customer. I really do not believe that she does not know her boss. What a liar!!!

COX Customers are dumb and ask the dumbest questions on the phone, always have dumb input issues and then call us to blame us for their dumb and *** mistakes of pressing buttons their tv, say they pay hundreds of dollars and that we provide poor customer experience when most of the time when we want to help a customer all they do is be stubborn and dont follow directions and ask for supervisors! the best advice i can give is *** CANCEL it is a LUXURY to have cable and if your not happy than go away you dont need cable, you need to get a life, run get up you *** chair and do something and let us resolve good customers questions and concerns not all this *** that your gonna sew us LOL like if someone is gonna listen, just *** cancel and watch local tv if your so unhappy with the service lol one less problem and one less bad annoying customer (:

Cox Communications - A frustrated customer

I did not have a contract with Cox. Therefore, on 6/10/15 I spent about one hour on the phone with Gabby who represented herself and was able to change our service and reduuce it by about $70 per month. Then on 6/12 I received a call from a third party representative stating they could not honor this and there must have been a misunderstanding. I spent over an houur today with 4 representatives and finally cancelled our service. It is a sad parody that the utility companies feel they can treat customers in this manner and have no repercussion. A possibility in the 1960's this worked, but not in the 21st century.
