Another angry customer of Cox Communications

Have been with Cox for close to 20 years now and not out of choice. Finally decided to migrate one phone line over to cox for the small business that my husband has. This was done last Wednesday and some unprofessional nitwit working at Cox forget to read ajjust the modum so as a result the phone has been out of order since it was migrated. As a result, no one has been able to reach my husband as the phone stated the number was not in service. There goes his small business. Thank you very much Cox. I will be sending you my bills from here on in as you managed to put our lives into a tail spin. And I don't you frankly don't give a damn.

To *** out bad employees firstly!! Compensate us on future billing as the lack of phone service has caused a serious issue with my husband and his small company.

Cox Communications - Bill goes from 'zero balance" from moving to 426.00 in one month

So, I have a bundle package with Cox started at 90.00 a month. two yrs later my package deal is coming to an end and luckily i'm moving. So I call to transfer service, they zero out my account ( without telling me that they are taking another 235.00 in payment off my CC. Then they told me that someone would come to my place and do a professional install witin two weeks, So I ask " can I just set it up myself and then you guys come in two weeks and do it." He says fine. Here we are 33 days later, No install, and i get a bill for 426.00 dollars. They say all my promotions fell off and my monthly bill is now 243.00 and that My balance is for a partial bill and a balance carry over from the previous address. WHAT??? they zero'd it out. Nope, they didn't according to their records, So the two 200.00 plus payments totaling more than 460.00 dollars that I made in June, wasn't enough. I"m so through with these guys. They have a monopoly, why are there no other cable companies? when I was a kid, I remember being able to pick from a couple of different cable co. No not dish companies, cable companies. how is this legal. It's either century link, a satellite company or Cox. There are two satellite companies, why can't there be two cable companies? I cancelled my services and called century link. Service is great, my modem and internet is great. and I'm only paying 40.00 a mo for TV and 25mbps for the first yr then 60.00 for the next. Still a boat load cheaper than any "package deal" that cox has. Oh, and Cox used to be prime cable, but when the lawsuits started mounting, they "rebranded" themselves as "cox communications" like they were a new company. haha, jokes on us. cancel your service and go with century link prism. You'll thank yourselves.

Cox Communications - Would like to spell their name differently

Wonder how a large company can be so inept. My elderly moved apartments today at the same address. Basically same address, different apartment number. I called Cox to get her internet switched. After locating her account they asked what apartment she moved to. Gave them the number and was told they have an active account in that apartment and cannot connect until it was cancelled. Told them that was impossible because it was just added onto the complex. They in return called the party that was listed at the apartment and determined that they had the wrong apartment number for the other account. Then told me they still could not connect until management from the apartment complex called them to verify the other party was really not in my mom's apartment. Really, you just talked to them. Called the complex management and was told they would call and have the account transferred for me. No, Cox wouldn't transfer for them. They called me back and told me they verified the other party was in a different apartment but I would have to set up the transfer. I called again the residential line again and was told this time that the business account handles her address and offered their number. Brenda got rude with me when I asked if she could just transfer me and she did. Immediately after giving them the account info I was told they can't do it I would have to go through residential. Really they just told me they can't do it. He then transferred me to someone else who then told me there is another active account in that apartment. Explained everything to him and he said he would make the change and set it up. He then said all I had to do was connect her router to the connection and I would be good. Not so, still no internet. So I called back again and got a person that couldn't even find her account even when I gave her the account number. She said she was going to transfer me to I believe "connections" but instead I got "connect to compete" what ever that is. I called back again explained everything and was told she would enter the info and then transfer to connections, instead she transferred me to disconnect or hung up. Finally I called back and explained everything again and was told he would enter everything and walk over to connections to make sure they addressed my issue. Connections confirmed the new apartment number, had me reset the router and boom had internet service. Sometimes I hate when someone in a foreign country answers a customer service call but got to admit I believe they could have done a better job.

Cox Communications - Home Security Scam

1.0
Details
I just found out that I can pay $99 to have a technician come out and take the home security down & install in the new apartment, take it down my self & if I accidentally break anything pay $199 or cancel service & pay $300 penalty. I have been with cox for ten years and have never been treated in such a manner. They really dont care about loyalty. Dont waste your money and join the cox scam. ADT, direct tv etc seem to have better deals. I cant believe the supervisor was so condescending and didnt care that I physically cant take the equipment down. Any scenario, I have to come out of pocket.

I have been a customer since 2010. I have had to suffer due to increased prices during this time all the while paying my bill on time.Cox has inconvenienced me since June of 2016 giving me incorrect information about the plan I am being enrolled in and I have had to spend numerous hours on the phone correcting their errors and being inconvenienced. I moved while in virginia Beach VA in June 2016 and transferred services to my new address. It took approximately one week to activate services and at least 3 hours of phone calls and 2 technicians to only have to call again for the next 2 consecutive days. Being misinformed about the plan and a representative dropped the ball on my service activation. In addition, I recently relocated to Las Vegas NV where I was informed to take my cable boxes with me via web chat to only find out upon arrival I would have to ship them back to VA. I had to pay over $13 to have this done through FedEx. upon arriving I also was misinformed about my plan and sent a bill quoting $126 while was informed it would not be more than $79.99. I was told of the channels and asked the premium channels I wanted which would be free with a minibox. Cox has been unprofessional, deceitful and a waste of time. If a customer is misinformed it should be honored, the customer should not be penalized. I have copies of all payments paid on time monthly since 2010, I am a good customer and continue to have to suffer due to their error. I also have copies of the web chat and Fed Ex receipt.
