Cox Communications - Cox Customer Service SUCKS and NO help fixing THEIR PROBLEMS.

Still NO help from Cox. They SUCK even MORE NOW... Cox Tech Support told me to delete my account so they could activate their Roommate program since I was moving out of state to Texas. The following morning I deleted my Cox account as requested by Tech Services (Sales dept closed at 8 pm). This would allow Cox to transfer my email account to use Cox's existing Email Roommate program. After deleting my Cox internet account the next day, I was informed that ALL my email HISTORY and CONTACTS were lost, get this (Because I deleted my account per Cox Tech Support. Cox has NO CLUE what they are doing. No one talks to each other and their customer service is the worst to ever exist (maybe even behind Direct TV). It's impossible to talk to a real person, only want you to "1 Finger CHAT". I've got a Finger for them and their lack of service. They refuse to transfer you to someone more knowledgeable than they are. THEY ALL KNOW IT ALL. BS I won't give up, my emails are too important at this point...

Cox Communications - Horrible service

They have a monopoly in the Phx area and their customer service is horrible. You can't even cancel your service online, they make you call. I don't receive the download speed I pay for and the connection constantly goes out. My service renews in a couple of days and I wanted to cancel since I moved but no one is available on the weekend.

Cox Communications - Poor Service

Firstly, Cox Cable isnt a company that is not Senior Citizen friendly company...they require seniors to go online to obtain service- when most seniors are not internet savvy... When phoning technical support you stay online so long you get pissed off and decide to hang up... pls hire more techs..so, that adequate service can be given. God knows Seniors pay enough!!!!!!!

BUT...He said he had to reprogram the 2 controllers to match my 2 tvs. Now I have to use both controls to make a tv work. One control will only allow on/off button and volume. Other one works except not on/off or volume. This happened on Sunday Nov the 25th. Appt was set up at store level... Store is at 6005 East Southern Ave Mesa Az My customer service person was Lauren Hufford. I reached her thru email and her reply was to fix it myself by using help line or she could send a tech for an ADDIONAL $75 !!! WHY ? The problem was caused by YOUR tech which I willing paid... BUT THIS WAS YOUR FAULT !! I am not ruling out Dish or Direct and just have you send me a refund of my acct balance of a credit of almost $500 !!

I just like to take the time out of my day to write this letter because I received outstanding service and knowledge of products from by Universo home tech by the name of LEIF YORGASON this guy was great and very knowledgeable about products offered through Cox I had the Cox Homelife security system and it worked for about three days and then it *** out and I’ve had two other technicians here trying to fix it whom weren’t so friendly this poor guy spent almost 5 hours in my home trying to figure out the problem and fix what he could but more in Porten Lee he sold me on the whole security package which I just ordered so I just like to get your big thanks and recommend LEIF he should be a universal tech trainer and training all the rest of these technicians on Great customer service and up selling out that he went above and beyond just wanted to say thanks God bless

My svcs went out 8/30 bc the only thing the phone reps r supposed to do is push for a technician in home service call which runs the customer $75 a pop they cannot actual help to diagnose any issues. After personally replacing all cables & equipment [that was provided to me by Cox] I was able to assess that the issue is with the cable wiring providing my home. This is the EXTERNAL wiring which is an important point in this story. I scheduled the tech call & made clear to everyone I spoke to that there was no way to allow anyone into my home. This is because of my kids trauma response to strangers in our home after my husbands untimely death. I was informed by the person who set up the call that not a problem. Cut to 9/2, 4 days after my system went down, the tech who was sent out cancelled the call & left went he found out I wasn't going to budge on allowing him in my home. He refused to consider any work arounds even after finding out why he couldn't come in. The reason for this robotic refusal of change? External wiring calls don't cost me anything. That's right, OUTSIDE - Free: INSIDE - $75. I wonder who might be getting an incentive for "upcharging" their calls? How about the company allow these intelligent people work in a way that benefits their customers instead of forcing them to try to bleed those same customers for everything they have.

They constantly charge my wife and I for “installation” even though we haven’t had anything installed in over 2 years. They made us sign up for their internet AND phone, otherwise it would be way more expensive. So they sent a “technician” to our house to set it up. They made it seem like we were getting a new modem. All he did was stand there, call in and tell them to turn it on... they charged us $75 for that! Cox is beyond shady.

So January 2017 we started having bad internet speeds. Called cox and they sent out a tech, when he arrived he said it appears your getting terrible signal strength from the main tap from the pole. Our pole is in a neighbors back yard which is fenced. He went and knocked on the door with no answer so nothing he could do but put in for a crew to come out within 72 hours. In the mean time we changed the channels on our router to try and get better speeds. Which worked and actually were getting speeds that we’re paying for 150 down and 10 up. Cox continued to come out three different times in the next three weeks and never made it in the back yard cause no one answered the door when they came out. So it never got fixed. Now it’s January 13 2018, and I’ve got the same problem but it’s way worse. No matter what we do are speeds are slow and unstable. We’ve had 4 different techs in less than a week. The first tech scheduled to have a crew come out to change the tap. He showed up two days later and said there was an outage and we should be fine after that (I wasn’t home at the time) and left. Called them back that day and told them to send someone out to do it the next day cause it was the main tap and not an outage. Tech came out and said the same thing, but again couldn’t get to the back yard cause no one answered the door, so I would have to set up for another day. So I went myself set a time for someone to be there when cox came out and this time the tech said he didn’t do that and he was setting up for a crew to come out and do the work and they didn’t need promition to go in the back yard. It’s been a year now and still can’t get them to fix this problem. If I had a choice of another internet provider I would have already left cox, but I don’t so just gonna continue to call and complain everyday now till this is fixed!!

Details
I asked how much to upgrade the internet speed and I decided it was too costly, but the rep I talked to coerced me into the deal by telling me I get free showtime with that deal, so I opted in. I explained to him that I have directv and he said it would still work he would send me a splitter. Well, it didn't work and went round and round with cox again and we are maybe to where there is a solution. They are coming out tomorrow to see if they can help. I asked for them not to charge me since it was their error and was assured I would not be charged. Will update again.
