Going all digital is a joke. 2 weeks in half our digital channels are out. Instead of plugging onto the mini box we are soon forced to deal with, I plug the cable directly into the tv and bypass the mini box. To my surprise we had all our channels. So this mini digital box and digital cable is BS. This isn't progression. This is also going too lead a lot of customers to go elsewhere. Why change something that has no problems. After a year we are forced to rent these mini boxes. If I'm now forced down this road, I definitely will seek out other options outside of Cox for our tv service. Thanks for giving a long loyal customer a reason to leave and find better options, since Cox isn't obviously it anymore.

Same problem with my garbage mini boxes. Plug them in and even call Cox to activate them and nothing!

You get 3 to 4 channels. Go back to regular cable plug in and everything works. I am returning mini boxes tomorrow and if my tv's stop working soon I will go with Diirect TV.

Already contacted them and sounds like a much better deal to me. Cox has gotten too big for their britches and cancelled their superb customer service they once had.

Dude get over yourself. Don't blame the cable company, blame the area you live in.

Your area has poor signal. Of course analog signal works great, but due to government regulations, all cable companies have switched Thierry signals to digital. And cox is one of the last providers on the list for the digital change.

If you think AT&T or Dish is going to do you better, Goodluck with the upfront $200 deposit. And additional deposits for equipment.

Companies like (COX M) is what causes the Liberals to step in and decide on how you should treat customers. I am trying to reduce my bill since I am now retired and on a fixed income. There is no way that anyone should be paying for channels you don't watch, like 95% of what's in your package. I don't watch sports or speak Spanish and to add insult to injury, the important channels I need is in a package with a higher price... And now I have to purchase extra boxes since you decided that the only way I can watch regular and local channels is to purchase this new digital mini box. After 30 yrs as a customer I am on the *** of dropping cox and going back to reading books only. Who *** needs TV...

Called in yesterday to get a price for adding TV service. I told the guy i just wanted a quote. The price was too high so i told him we would wait because i needed to chat with the wife. Well to my suprise, the next day he processed the order without my consent. I got an email confirmation and called; the rep advised that the previous rep had actually placed the order at the end of his shift. Awesome integrity Cox; what was done is illegal.

Reception frequently unreliable since switching to Contour. Had to reset box frequently, turned in and exchanged several boxes, channels missing frequently, frequent phone calls to customer service lasting half an hour or longer going through various maneuvers to try to reset and restore service. HORRIBLE business operations and customer service. Phone agents are very polite and patient and make every effort to be helpful but scheduling of service calls and follow-through is atrocious. We were left without any service whatsoever for several days without explanation or response from Cox. When they finally scheduled an appointment they came at a different time which we could not accommodate then told us they could not come back that day not even during the pre appointed time. RIDICULOUS!! Response to escalated problems is POOR, POOR, POOR!!!!!!!!

Cox Communications in Crestview, Florida - Totally Digital signal scheme

Is it too late for Cox to reconsider transition to “totally digital” signals? Cox cable has just lost what I believe is their last advantage over the satellite companies. By scrambling all the signals and requiring at a minimum a minibox on each TV they have taken away the cable ready feature of TV sets. Satellite companies provide set top boxes for up to four rooms at no extra charge whereas Cox charges $3 or $9 for each box depending on how much of your package you want on each set. The $3 minibox only passes the Starter package channels no matter what extra packages or features the customer is paying for. I waited two years for Cox to run cable into my new subdivision only to face “totally digital” signal transmission a few months after subscribing. I must now seriously consider switching to one of the satellite companies which have the added feature of providing more channels for less cost. The dish is an ugly contraption but we must be practical.

Cox service is absolutely atrocious! The channels go off the air frequently. Inputting channel numbers is slow. Channels load slowly too. Their On-Demand service is so horribly cobbled together a team of pre-schoolers could do a better job designing the interface and user interaction. We live in the Irvine Company apartments and are forced to use Cox. We can't get a dish because we face the wrong way. It's just too bad.

reported to cox several times these stations aren't working...yesterday cox called me saying the problem was repaired....Not true. I reported it again to 611 and still nothing changed. I checked with a friend of mine who has cox service and was told they get these stations....I believe I have a bad box but they won't send out a service guy...Why cox are you treating your customers this way? Cox *** sucks, ever since i got those *** digital boxes i cant even watch TV. It tells me i need to subscribe to channels that are above 12 wtf kind of *** is this. And on top of it ive been trying to call them for hours and the line is always beeping. Horrible customer service.
