Cox is terrible at offering long standing customers any kind of new deals. I pay almost $68 a month for basic cable and there is about 30 of those channels I don't watch, so I'm being charged for channels I don't watch. When I call to ask if they can offer any deal on the net and cable they offer a price of $20.00 for net tacked onto their already over priced cable so that is NOT a deal. then the rep gets all snotty with me during the call about how they have nothing else to offer me. I told her I will likely be switching to an antennae she just said "Well, do what you need to" so COX does NOTHING to keep their customers. Since they are so indifferent I'm going to just cancel my cable and deal with plain Jane tv. I really wish we had more cable companies so they can give COX a run for their money. I don't know who they sucked to get their so called excellent customer service rating but I sure hope they enjoyed it.

******Absolutey LACKING IN KNOWLEDGE when it comes to the NEW COX SWITCH TO DIGITAL. We stood / waited for 40 minutes, TWICE, to get a mini box to work with our home TV service. We have two TIVO DVR's - they told us REPEATEDLY - that the COX MINI BOX would work with our TIVO'S. IT WILL NOT. *** people, with no training, no working knowledge base here. They just vomit out information that is totally incorrect. WHERE ARE THE TEAM LEADERS / SUPERVISORS - in the back is where we watched them. FOLLOW UP: CALLED BACK ON SATURDAY TO THIS SANTEE COX OFFICE LOCATION, ask to speak to a Team Leader/Supervisor, I was transferred to COX Central Call-in Center. Cox made everyone switch to digital with a "mini box". I installed one of the two they sent and was finally able to get a TV working. It was ok for a while, but this morning I turned off the TV and when I turned it back on an hour later I had a blank screen. I called customer service and after being on hold for a while, I talked to a rep. He tried a few things and told me he would have to connect me with someone higher up. On hold again. The rep came on the line and was no more help than the first person. She said she would have to get a technician out to look at it. The tech would not be available until tomorrow. I informed her that I was not going to pay for a service call since it was their box that was the problem. She did not reply to that. She sounded stressed out which is what I would be if I worked for Cox. I was paying $18 a month when I first got cable and now it is OVER $200 and the service is lousy. I am also paying for numerous channels that I do not use because it is part of the "package". I am currently looking into other alternatives to cable.

I hooked up my digital boxes and for the last five days WTKR has no signal.

I spoke to a representative each day and they sent a tech. to my house and he said the boxes are fine their is a dispute with WTKR.

My not be honest.

No channel 3 no cox next week.

I have decided to cancel service.

I have Cox internet and although it frequently slows down at the most inopportune times, I cannot complain much. My complaint comes from today. I called, since I have internet hooked up, I thought it would be easy to add cable TV. I really wanted to watch a football game that was on. I own a very nice TV that I used to be able to hook up to Cable TV and get multiple channels. When I called today, I was told that the only way I could get TV channels was to have a cable box. If I wanted to have a box to watch cable TV, I could just get Satellite. The main reason I switched from Satellite TV in the first place was the restrictions of the boxes. Now Cable has followed suit.

Cox finds anyway to get money from their subscribers. They are loosing cable customers to companies such as centrylink, dish, direct tv etc...

Cox now has more internet subscribers than cable tv subscribers So to make up the difference they make the cable service to where the only way you can get it is with a cable box. The technology with tv's now is so advanced you do not need a stb. If you figure a cox system has 500,000 cable customers and each customer has 2 boxes and a typical box rental just say is 6.95 a month this equals to 6,950,000 a month cox is getting from their subscribers.

No wonder the owner and her son together are worth over 50 BILLION DOLLARS. I know a couple of years ago a cox subscriber was suing cox because they were being forced to rent a box, not sure what the outcome was on the case but sure the cox Lawers found a way to get it dropped

Yes, they are greedy, uncaring, and so unworthy of their virtual monopoly (in our area, at least.) My household was offered use of up to 2 of the now-required little boxes for a year. A friend who lives less than one mile away is allowed only one at-no-cost-for-a-year required box.

I think they are showing her who's boss because she has Tivo on her third TV. Coxucks!

Cox is the worst cable service. I have been a cox customer for years and pay approximently $400 per month. Tomorrow morning im going to call direct tv and dump cox for good. The service goes out 3 to 4 times per week for the past 3 months.

On 11/21/2015, I was watching football game between UA and ASU on FS1 and the signal keep dropping on and off constantly. Not only this channel but all the channel was having signal issues so I called your technical help line round 4:50 PM AZ time. COX customer service, “Shannon” came on and to solve the issue, she said she need to reset my cable box, which would take 10 to 15 minutes. I had few people over to watch the game and was frustrated with COX’s poor signal performances, and yes, I did complaint. The most frustrating part of this incident was that the COX customer service person must have thought it was funny because she was laughing on the other line. I did not wish to deal with her poor service so I asked for a manager. She put me on a hold, came back five minutes to see if I was still on the line, put me on hold another five minutes, came back on line to see if I’m still waiting, and again put me on another hold. She never came back and after another 15 minutes, I hung up the phone. As a COX customer, I am paying a substantial amount of money for three services but that includes customer service. I do not appreciate or accept one your customer service’s mocking attitudes. Yes, I was frustrate but when having guests over for an entertainment, I would like to make sure things go right. I have been COX customer for years and if this is what is expected in the future, I think I’ll will take my business somewhere else.

I received an email from COX and instead of addressing the issue, they want me to take a survey on how to improve their customer service... and their FB asked to to chat privately.

NO. This is how companies brush aside consumer dissatisfaction and complaints.

They are public company that promised to provide services for payment, and public has the right and needs to know how issues are corrected. No more private conversations or simple surveys.

I have been with Cox for many years now one because there is nothing else. The service sucks it often goes out or freezes up. Which then you have to unplug the box and restart the box. Sometimes more than not while attempting to watch a on demand program it is just a black screen. Sometimes you can fast forward an on demand program and other times you can not. For the amount of money we pay we should get an uninterrupted service and all functions work properly.

Over the past year I had problems with my wifi. I had purchased a router from them and paid for it in full. After a few months of having problems I contacted them and they sent a tech out who claimed I needed a booster. This seemed to fix the issue for a few days! I called again and they came out and changed the router this time again for a few days it worked and then the problem was back! I called again this time I spoke with Jason who was a supervisor and Explained I believed the router they are using were junk because a friend had the same issues! Jason told me I could purchase another one of my choice and if the problem was resolved he would credit my account! Well months later and no problem except my cable box for TV gets hot and shuts off so again I call and make an appointment! Two techs show up and try to swap the box out but are having problems with the model number! In the mean time I hear a bunch of commotion outside and there is a car with a young lady outside it and my dogs are barking! I go outside only to find out the techs girlfriend is here to place a rose in the van! The tech never did fix the problem and I know await a supervisor to call me! I will have direct tv by the end of the month!

I had to buy a new modem and a new wifi router as well, I bought the modem from target for $79,, Cox wanted $149, and I had to pay a rental fee, what am I renting if I buy its mine, so I bought my own no fees, and the new router was $100 at walmart still having wifi problems on and off pain the ***!
