Cox WiFi stopped working, for 2 days and part of a third. I called customer service and only received prerecorded messages.

There was no way to actually talk to a person. I visited the Cox Store and was told the exact same thing I heard on the recording.

I ended up using data on my phone which doubled that bill. I am not too happy with Cox.

Unsolicited Mail/Offers/Harassment

I continue to be inundated with unsolicited letters/offers from Cox, wanting me to purchase their services which is nothing more but continued harassment. I have gone to the CEO, Leadership, Board of Directors, and Customer Service, requesting that I be removed from their customer contact list. Nevertheless, Cox has no intentions of removing both of my addresses from their contact list; it bewilders me why businesses persist in inundating people with their unsolicited offers. Did I contact Cox to enquire about their services? No, I did not, nor would I ever intend to. Do they realize that their fortunes of winning this weekend's lottery without purchasing a ticket are probably greater than me subscribing to any of their services? If I haven't subscribed to their services up until now, why do they presume I will just because they continue to pester me every few weeks with additional unsolicited mail/offers?

Organizations/Businesses like Cox are likened to hemorrhoids; they are nothing more than a severe nuisance with no immediate relief in sight. I still receive a bag full of unsolicited spam mail each week, even though I have signed up numerous times to stop promotional mail. Unfortunately, the National Do Not Mail List is as inefficient as the Do Not Call List. If I need any insurance, hearing aids, automobiles, home warranties, pest control, AAA, AARP, solar panels, car warranties, windows, lawn services, internet/TV/phone services or gutter protection, I will personally reach out to those people. I don't need daily, weekly, or monthly reminders. For your knowledge:

o Junk mail destroys 100 million trees a year, which is equivalent to deforesting the entire Rocky Mountain National Park every four months.
o Largely due to deforestation, junk mail manufacturing creates greenhouse gas emissions annually equivalent to 3.7 million cars.
o More than half of unsolicited mail is discarded unread or unopened; the response rate is less than 2%.
o Junk mail creates four million tons of unnecessary waste each year.
o According to the weight of junk mail trash based on EPA data, it equates to 13.4% of 1276 pounds per household; that's 170 pounds of trash per household per year.
o It's not just the waste that junk mail produces that is worrisome; it's also the amount of energy required to produce the mail and the emissions required to transport it to your home. And even if it gets recycled in the end, a substantial amount of energy is expended in the recycling process.

I hereby request that Cox remove my name, addresses, and any other addresses they may have for me from their contact list. I do not wish to be contacted by them, their company, and/or any independent telemarketing firms that they have retained. Request immediate attention to this matter.

I expect a reply from Cox stating what action they've taken to prevent me from receiving any more junk mail from them. I have already filed three complaints with the Federal Trade Commission. An acknowledgment of any complaint will be forwarded to them directly. Joe N. Roop, 609 John Chisholm Way, Yukon, OK 73099 & Joe N. Roop, 8208 Lance Drive, Oklahoma City, OK 73132.

Feels Disappointed | Apr 13, 2024

First I tried Chat and got disconnected. Then spoke to someone in Loyalty. Why can't you have people who talk English? Foreign people only have canned answers and if you ask anything they don't understand you get put on hold and they come back with an answer unrelated to the question. I pay a lot and expect better customer service. You don't make it easy to talk with a real person and when I figure out how to do that I get someone I can't understand and/or they can't understand me. Poor customer service for money I pay.

I couldn’t understand hardly anything she said. Her English was terrible. The back ground noise in that center was rediculous. That made it all harder and even more frustrating.
