Cox has promoted switching to their new Contour TV boxes. We had consistent problems with our old Cox boxes, and Cox reps convinced us to switch (for $75 install fee) to the new Contour TV which would stop the monthly need to reboot the old boxes.

Well, guess what, Cox lied once again. And they have enhanced their infamous reputation for being the worst cable TV company in America. The new boxes have frozen twice, and cannot be rebooted remotely or manually. And, COX does not know how to fix the problem- their reps actually told us that there is nothing they can do to fix the problem...

"NOTHING I CAN DO!?" Now that's the Cox service you can expect. And... they can't tell us when (if) service will be returned. The first time this happened on Saturday, we were without service 15 hours.

Today (Monday), so far we are without service for 12 hours with no commitment to fix it...

other than they'll send out a techie on Tuesday.

ADVICE: Stay the *** away from Cox Communications in Connecticut...
