Details
Since July 19, 2019 Cox has been unable to bury my replaced cable line. 6 plus techs have come out and they all say the same thing. We can’t do anything- we outsource the burial service. This is exactly why monopolies are a problem- no competition no service.

Overbilled, services dont work, techs can't fix problems. This company is like the mafia. No respect for it customers and rather than adjust our bill accordingly to match our missing service which we are still being charged for even though we can't use it they imply it is our fault and want to add more charges and make it near impossible to end our service with them. I STRONGLY CAUTION ANYONE AGAINST EVER DOING BUSINESS WITH COX COMMUNICATIONS.

I contacted to COX to have my service line checked since my signal seemed to be very erratic. So they send three guys out and end runing a new service line. BUT...they run this line down the pole (not encased in conduit) and across my yard. Then they place these flags along the cable on the ground, saying "Buried TV Cable." All I have is internet service from them. I then get a call from one of the technicians who is SITTING in front of my house telling me that it would be a week to 10 days before that line would be buried! Couldn't even come to my front door to tell me in person. When I went out back to see what they had done, I was horrified at how they thought this would be okay. The pole that the line runs down is on the other side of my fence in my neighbors yard. The line runs down the pole through some wire garden plant stands and then under my fence. There is no way that they could bury this line to the pole! And since the wire is exposed and not on my property, there is the danger of anyone coming along and cutting that line. The other thing that I do not understand is that more than 2 yrs ago, they ran an underground line to my property which comes from a junction box on the property line. They have never connected me to that line and now they want to do another underground line! The first time that they ran an underground line, they cut through a sprinkler system line which I had to have repaired and now they want to do this again!! Is this why they keep raising rates why the service gets poorer and poorer! I guess when you have a monopoly on this type of service, it doesn't matter what you do. Also, 2 years prior I was promised that I would be connected to the original underground line which is encased in conduit. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that COX hires very incompetent people who know nothing about professionalism and proper maintenance service. When I called them back and said I did not want another buried line across my property, I was told that they would have to send an "evaluation team" out to see what the best solution would be. Unbelievable!! Now I am waiting for the team.

Switched to cox on 3/11/19. When I signed up I was told my bill would be 175.93 per month.

Then they sent an e-mail that my bill was due in that amount. When I called to pay my bill the amount was 213.48. I paid that amount and called Cox.

I was told the due amount was 213.48 and my monthly bill would be 180.xx.Iwas told that 180.00 was the best they could doand the sales lady should have told me a rate increase was coming. I guess I'll be going to directv or back to at&t when my month is up.

Cox bumped my bill price without notice. When I called to change the bill back to the "promotional" price, they "couldn't change it" or offer any discounts, nor was there any way for her to change the bill as it stood. Not okay, Cox.

I contacted Cox to add internet service and set up an appointment for the following Saturday morning. I was later told that my credit didn't go through. I explained that could be to a fraud alert on my credit. I was told the quickest way to clear that up was to go to a Cox store. I explained that it would be an inconvenience as there wasn't one near me. Rep informed that it was too late in the day for it to be done on the phone and that going to the store was my option. I went to the store the next day and stood in line. The rep wasn't friendly and basically told me that he didn't know why I was directed to go there. He took my ID info and said everything was completed. This morning I call in an over an hour after the time frame I was given for them being here. I had a *** rep that told me I'd been contacted and that I never called back. I asked why wasn't a message left asking me to contact them. He said my phone didn't receive voicemails with an attitude! I told him that was a lie as I receive voicemails daily. Spoke to his supervisor who told me that I would have to go through verification again and they'd give me a new appointment. No empathy so I asked to speak to her supervisor and was told that it would take 24-48 hours and that they wouldn't speak with me unless I went through verification. Totally dismayed at the customer service level and lack of wanting to correct the problem in a timely manner. I would not be surprised if I don't receive a call from a supervisor.

I know what you guys thinking now it's a satellite and when you need it sattalite goes out. If you actually do research directv have #1 customer satisfaction plus AT&T just spend a fortune on DTV so guys most valuable Client(AT&T) invest on DTV because it's better. I signed up for high speed internet 9 years ago, was promised a life time rate of 45-ish dollars a month, in the past 3 years it jumped to 53$ called asked why, nothing. then jumped to 58$, called asked zilch, jumped to 63$ now 66$ I cannot get a straight answer, was offered a promotional deal for 3 months would knock me back down to 53$... basically I say ***, also I am pretty sure i have been paying for / renting their modem when I own my own... please tell me someone else has found a better deal in the Broken Arrow Ok location... because this is ridiculous.. sincerely, one pissed of customer

Join the crowd. My roommate moved out to california and he had all the movie channels, hbo, cinemax, showtime etc, plus variety pak and sports pak along with normal tv.

I kept normal tv and got rid of rest. Bill dropped $75 Wanted to get rid of music, 900-999, channels as not once have i ever listened to them, cox said no,problem, we will delete those channels and give you a $40 per month PRICE INCREASE ON INTERNET !!!!!!!!

What the *** are you talking about ? Are you nuts ? Then the very next month the price went up $19 They are the biggest, slimest, scummiest company out there.

They have a monoply so they can raise rates whenever they want.

I am not trying to get stuff free, i understand there are cost but how can you raise internet by getting rid of music stations ?
