I switched to Quantum Fiber for a $50 savings per month. And their $50 per month fee is fixed for life.
Why isn't Cox more competitive. If they were, I would not have dropped Cox after being a Cox customer for many years.

I came to cox hoping that I would find a better and more professional company then who I had. Huge mistake..
so many misleading misinformation and wrong things.. talk to so many managers special support manger its pathetic.. there attitude is too bad it's cox way or nothing.. on Aug 1st came in the store to cancel my Internet..
note i recently moved in a place that provides cox Internet with your rent.
Never was told if cancel lose mobile service as well or asked if transfer to new location. No surprise or shock.now hounded by email of bill that not exist.this is cox way

Today 9/4/24 my service was unruputely disconnected. Apparently, they had received a lease saying my address but it was an error due to it being a new resident in the area.
I'm working from home, lived there for years and my service just says disconnected. I'm so upset.
They gave me a $20 for r my convenience but that isn't enough for all the stress I've gone through today. No communication or nothing just disconnected service.

Cox out of the blue increased my bill almost 100%.
I called them to ask why because I was already paying more.
I wanted them to rollback the increase, they said no, I said then stop the services I would work with other company. They said ok your new bill is reduced.
I kept using the Internet, then I saw my bill is intact.
Contacted them for a week, multiple times. They don't reduce the bill and they don't stop the services.

Terrible communication and customer service
I have had my business internet service through Cox for over 25 years.
I found a plan with Verizon for 40% of what I was paying. I was locked into a contract with Cox so I had to keep paying their fee even though I had disconnected their modem.
I went to return the modem once the contract ran out (15 months later) and, after visiting 2 stores, was finally told business customers can't return their equipment to a store. Turns out they have to go directly to a UPS store and send it in that way.
Why didn't the first store say that? I am disgusted with this company.

Cox has the worst customer service and they don't hold their workers accountable. They tried to charge me for equipment that I returned and didn't even want to listen to the fact that I had proof that I returned it.

They offer a $3.9 refund per day. I work from home like many others - I don't want a refund, I want reliable internet.
I'm done with this company. In this day and age, having outages and spotty internet 25% of the time is simply unacceptable.

For some reason, our internet and cable goes out at 4:00 in the afternoon and stays off until 1 or 2 in the morning. It's crazy.
They say Network Impairment? Can I say Financial Impairment when I don't pay my bill? I've missed soccer, WNBA, Hulu, Netflix, and the internet for everything else.
Network Impairment. GTFUO...

Communicate with each other. The field department apparently never told others the system was not completed, but billed me as if all was good, with the new install!

The Middletown rhodeisland store told my kids fathers uncle and his brother to return my box when im the one that pays the bill and the man isn't going to return it... So not this $240 box is going to mess up my credit ...
All because I wouldn't let him use my wifi. Cox didn't have the right to do this nor did my kids fathers uncle or father didn't have a right to do this

Verified Reviewer |Conversion from Cox to Yahoo is a total snafu
The conversion of my Cox account, of which I had multiple accounts for personal, family, and business purposes, seems to have resulted in a merge. Post-conversion, it appears that nothing is working, and there is no support.

Their Internet service is the worst ever, constant problems with it. You could be standing next to the router and still not get connected to the Internet total ***
Cox Internet is horrible, constant interruptions poor service during the day during the night all times. And they pay the amount of money they need is frightening that were stuck with these people horrible total *** Service.

Verified ReviewerResolved: Agreement that is not an agreement
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. They responded to my FTC complaint and we agreed on a very satisfactory solution.
I forg to mention that I was chatting with customer service in India for over 3 hours (5 different people) before they cut me off when I said that I was going to contact the President of the company to see if he agreed that there was no "agreement".
I re-subscribed for a 2-year discount, which is an agreement between me and the company. It has penalties associated with it if I leave early.
So now they have raised the price of the TV (of course citing increased costs). And now the customer service in India said that this is "not an agreement" because there was no "electronic signature" to it. Give me a break.
It was an agreement. They just say that so they can raise prices whenever they want to.
User's recommendation: Make sure that you sign electronically for anything from the company, becasue they will not honor anything else.

I banned Cox from my household or ever talking to anyone there. I am getting online ads from this despicable company.
How can I block Cox forever? I would never deal with this disreputable company again. Just look at all the complaints and lawsuits against Cox! How is Cox still in business???
This is a weak company that will try to cheat you if it can in my opinion. They sold me defective merchandise, I caught them, reported them, and BANNED COX from ever contacting me again.

The company totally sold me poor product, service and performance. Customer service is a total joke and the company is a total sham that should not be allowed to operate anywhere.
DO NOT BELIEVE OR TRUST COX FOR ANYTHING! Worst company ever.
All they want is your money, they do not care about you and will not help you if you need it. A truly ridiculous company.

I BANNED Cox for such a bad experience and the company is never to contact me again. Any of their ads, which suck anyway, are dismissed immediately in my household. Avoid Cox Communications, and if you have them, get rid of 'em.
